Thanks

The website is horrible in the sense that it doesnt really explain what Ohm connect is

but from my understanding of digging around, it is a peak hour usage reduction program, much like the SCE Summer Discount Plan or the ones connected to Nest

this just encourages you to save by using less all around the house during those peak hours when they notify you

i just signed up via the link you posted
but did not see any confirmation of the free google home mini after completing all the steps...

the website seems half finished or buggy
because it showed a free smart plug promo and when i clicked on it, it sent me to a wrong place (like a 404) page...

Just a notification?

There's a program that automatically cuts off your A/C

My understanding is that as of last year, SCE customers can't be on both the SCE Summer Discount Plan and another program like OhmConnect or the other one that involves using smart thermostats to control your A/C (instead of a cutoff device on the A/C unit itself like with the Summer Discount Plan)

Yes, you are correct. It seems you have to unregister any conflicting programs.

Ohmconnect does work with nest. I wonder which yields more cash back/savings

I would say it's hard or near impossible for other programs to beat the savings of Summer Discount Plan on the maximum savings option. If you're on the comfort option, then I'm not sure.

I did receive an email from ohmconnect after using the link to open a new account and connect my utility account. But the email had no mention about any free Google Home Mini or any other freebies. So I contacted help@ohmconnect.com and got the response below. My account is at Carbon level upon opening and going through all of their questionnaires. To hit Silver, it may take days for utility company to approve. I will more likely to miss the 72 hours dead line. If it's the case, I will revoke my authorization for the utility to provide OhmConnect, Inc. customer data until **Indefinite**!

*****Response from Help@OhmConnect.com:
Thank you for writing in. To receive the Google Mini offer, you must click the offer you saw online (Facebook, Instagram, etc) to begin creating your OhmConnect account.
If you did not create your account using the online Google Mini link, you will not be eligible for the Google Mini Offer.

If you did create you account using the proper link and must hit silver status within 72 hours of signing up for OhmConnect, you'll receive an email soon after informing you that your Google Mini is on the way.

Got email saying-
Quote :
Welcome Aboard, Savvy Saver!
Thanks for connecting your utility account to OhmConnect. Your utility must now confirm your enrollment. This can take up to 48 hours. We'll reach out if there are any road bumps.

Once your utility approves your enrollment, you will have unlocked your FREE Google Home Mini offer. We will ship your Google Home Mini to the service address listed on your utility account.

Hot tip! Saving with OhmConnect is even easier when you connect a smart device to your account. In fact, OhmConnect users with a smart device save 2x more!
