Authorized seller? Looks like Beach Camera is but I don't see Rakuten. Wonder if there would be any kind of issues with the warranty.

This TV is pretty nice. It's a good choice between the Q6FN and X900F. No DV and who knows if it will get the update? The x850F, which just came out, has DV. Besides that, the PQ on this is pretty good. Saw this sitting next to the 85X900F and they are oh so close. The local dimming is the only difference maker between these two.

I've been considering the LG 86" that compares with this. I really like the LG Web OS. Some people are upset with LG black levels though. Is this Sony considered better or worse PQ than the LG?

Check out the rtings rating of 80-85 inch TVs. The 850F is at the bottom. Below the Q6 and even NU8000. So unless the extra 3 inches really matters I would go with the Q6 or NU8000 which is usually on sale cheaper than this. Compared to the 75 inch however the size difference even for the 82 is substantial so unless you are sitting closer than 8 feet I would go with the 80+ screens.

Go check out the TVs you mentioned in person. The 85" Sony is beautiful (has a VA panel while the ones reviewed by rtings have IPS panels like LGs) while the 82" Samsung has bad motion blur. No contest man. I would pay double for the Sony over that Samsung. Even the Samsung 75" nu8000 is really dim with hdr.

Lol. You have absolutely no clue what you are talking about. The X850F will blow the two TV's you mention out of the water. I have seen the TV's you mention in real life. No comparison. Not even sure how you are bringing two IPS screens into this conversation?

This is a screaming deal on a massive tv that will look great in a bright room. Blooming will be an issue in a dark room. Get a Roku Ultra box for this.

Rtings is comparing the IPS panel X850F TV sizes 75 inches and below not this 85 inch VA panel.
