Save your money. These "racing" style chairs are pure style over substance. Research and buy a proper ergonomic chair that's built with quality materials and a proper design. These chairs are just a fad and are not good for you not to mention most are of lower quality.

Invest in a proper chair that's built on designs that have been refined for years, ignore the fancy colors and all the silly streamer videos glorifying these things. Start with time proven brands such as Herman Miller, Steelcase etc. Before you say, "well those chairs cost too much," just like any quality item, you'll spend more up front but it'll save more $ over the long run. Look for open box deals on eBay and business liquidations on Craigslist etc. There's plenty of great prices on high quality chairs if you take the time to look.

I picked up my open box Herman Miller Embody from eBay for $600 4 years ago. Now I'm not saying pick out a top of the line $1200 chair but this is just an example of what you can find. It still looks brand new and is insanely comfortable to sit in for 8 hour work days followed by a few hours of gaming in the evening.

Don't fall into these "cool factor" marketing traps...

Not to thread crap but I'm a little heavy (240lbs, only 5'10") and this chair started deforming on me in less than a year (mostly armrests beginning to warp, peel, crack). I eventually invested in a Secret Lab Titan (much pricier, but built like a tank and suitable for my weight). Best purchase ever, will never look back.

I second this. These "gaming/racing" chairs are designed after racing seat, which are designed to keep you in your seat while driving around a track at high speeds, not for long stationary sitting. I highly doubt anyone is gonna be carting around in the chair while gaming. Do yourself a favor and get yourself a good office chair.

Source: "Gaming" chair owner, regret ever buying it.

Anyone with real feedback on this chair? I don't trust Amazon reviews at all.
Good thing these aren't amazon reviews

I don't think I've ever looked at a Newegg review. Default is just go to amazon but of course they are unreliable. Not that many on Newegg so looking for someone here with any real usage.
There's like 150+ on Newegg

I bought this chair off Amazon about a year ago. Very solid chair for $100... Gets a little wobbly after use but most chairs do. The butt cushion could use some improvement. But for a light/medium PC user, this chair is pretty good. After about 4 hours of use you will be thinking about a butt cushion, but coming from my old chair this is still an upgrade for a reasonable price. The support pillows really make a difference and counterbalance the stiffer rear cushion.

Finally a deal you can thank me for! I bought this exact chair last week from Amazon, so of course it's on sale now. No feedback on durability because it's brand new, but it's miles ahead of the steel folding chair I was using before.
