This is a really good deal. Walgreens has Glade Carpet & Room Fragrance Hawaiian Breeze [walgreens.com] on clearance for $1.59. In addition, it is eligible for Buy One Get One 50% Off. On top of that, they have a coupon for $1 off when you buy 2. So, 3 discounts aligned at the same time! I was able to do a ship to store order for 2, which came out to be $1.38 plus tax. If you prefer a plain version, they also have Glade Carpet & Room Odor Eliminator Powder [walgreens.com]. Time to freshen up your carpet Smilie
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Very good deal! But I just wanted to put a word of caution out there. I've read that these products are not good for bagless vacuums. The power is just too fine for the filters to handle.

I pulled a perfectly good Dyson vacuum out of the dumpster at my apartment building four years ago. When I turned it on it had little suction and when I took it apart one filter was filled with this powder. Some googling later I read about this powder clogging bagless vacuums.

I bought a new filter for just over $20 and had it up and running again. And that's the story of how I got a Dyson vacuum for $20.

PS I still smell the stuff when I use the vacuum.

Ingredients on Walgreens website state:

Carrier, Flow Agent, Fragrance, Odor Eliminator

The same on Amazon are clearer:

Calcium Carbonate, Sodium Silicoaluminate, Fragrance, Benzyl Benzoate

Basically you can map both the lists to see which chemical is responsible for doing what, respectively.

I used to think this carpet freshener must be baking soda + fragrance but the composition is different. I'm no chemist to opine on how bad the chemicals are for us. From what I understand:

Calcium carbonate is also available as a supplement and brands like NOW foods sell it.

Sodium silicoaluminate is an approved food additive and used commonly as an anti-caking agent. It is categorized as low on the scale of hazard on the EWG website.

Benzyl benzoate is used in some medications and in insect repellents. Also used as a solvent, anti microbial, masking, preservative, etc. As per EWG website, it is categorized as moderate hazard.

Fragrance is proprietary and I'm sure comprises of synthetically produced chemicals that are not good for health.

Again, im just sharing what I read up on this product and its ingredients out of my curiosity.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the tip! I'll use this with my cheap stick vacuum instead of my Hoover Wind Tunnel bagless vacuum.

If it clogs vacuum filters, what might it be doing to the lungs?
