Price is down to $349.00 in some stores.

Update Guys, Recently got this set. THIS IS NOT the same set as reviewed by Rting, their 7100..

The 55 inch I got measured only an abysmal 2800:1 contrast ratio, vs rting's 5200:1

Black lvls are really high, and image looks more faded than a 4000:1 or 5000:1 set.

The brightness is about the same 270cd , vs the 290 on rting's set.

The color gamut is also ~13% lower than Rting's

Again, this might just be difference in batches, because they're probably sourcing panels all over for the low end lines such as this.

HOWEVER, I would consider this a completely different TV vs the 7100 reviewed on Rting.

We have an older model of the 55" Samsung 4K and it's really buggy especially around HDMI-CEC or sending audio to a receiver. 9/10 times that we turn the TV on, it switches to TV volume instead of receiver volume. Switching it with the TV remote to "receiver mode" causes the TV to hang looking for "anynet+ devices." The only way to fix it is to unplug the TV from the wall, then it works great. Once you unplug the TV, HDMI-CEC works great, volume control changes the receiver, and powering off powers it all off - really nice. But next time you turn it off/on it's usually back to sound not working right. We installed a switch on the wall now since every time we use the TV we have to power-cycle it. There's threads about these kinds of bugs online. Overall it's just sad that it's so buggy for a name brand.

Thanks op, repped. Now I'll have to return the 50 incher that I purchased yesterday from BJ's for 329. Definitely worth the $20 bucks extra for 5 inches! Wink

As for the warranty, make sure to use a credit card that extends warranty for free. Cash back helps too! Wink

Warranties run out. Get an extra 24 months added to your warranty when you purchase items at least in part with your Citi card. If your eligible item breaks, we'll repair, reimburse or replace it, up to the amount charged on your Citi card or up to $10,000 per item, whichever is less.

Edit: Looks like the price jumped from $349 to $399.

The 50 incher is still 329 for those interested...

Was 350 now 400. Always buy first and ask for cancellation if you change your mind.

Does Costco carry this model? If they price match, I'd prefer buying it from there as they offer 2 year warranty instead of 1 year from all other stores
Unless Walmart offers square trade? Idk

In case anyone was wondering, this is the Walmart variant of the NU7100, same exact specs with different model number to discourage price matching at other stores. Rtings review below.

Rtings reported that many if not all of the 40-43" variants of the NU7100 have IPS panels and not VA. Ok for a pc monitor, but no good as a tv.
