Prior deal - was marked as expired, thus many maybe missing this deal

https://slickdeals.net/f/13009840-laview-8-3mp-4k-ip67-outdoor-h-265-onvif-rtsp-poe-ip-camera-87-20

note - these are Hikvision OEM cameras, and will work with Hikvision OEM NVRs, Hikvision VMS iVMS-4200, Blue Iris VMS, Milestone VMS, as well as various NAS security camera software.

Also note, there are other deals from LaView with the 25% off - so do feel free to check it out. This imho was one of the better deals I saw when looking at their HD IP camera section.

Any suggestions on the best bang for the buck nvr to pair?

edit: I'm only buying two cameras and would not expand beyond 6

Not a single mention of whether the onboard MicroSD card slot is still usable, allowing the use of these puppies as a standalone IPC.

Anyone with hands-on experience care to chime in about some of its features feasibility?

ie.

Onboard Storage

Hikvision direct firmware

Hik-connect (P2P)

I've confirmed 2 out of 3 on a Hikvision rebranded Swann cameras. Hik-connect is still a no-go FYI.

For the Hikvision rebranded Swann cameras, you probably need to flash to the Hikvision firmware or they won't with Hik-Connect P2P.

Got the dome 2 pack this time, lets hope they work well - using them for indoor purposes for now.

Interested in the domes but not sure on the lens. Need a couple for a rear gate entrance. Matt can you give us your knowledge. Also are these good for night time?

My Swanns have been reflashed with the Hikvision firmware. Still no go.

The problem lies with the serial naming convention. The Swanns serial numbers are a bit different than that of my Hikvision cams, as a result they're not recognized/acknowledged by the Hik-connect servers.

I'd like to make a recommendation that if you have the know-how and ability to hook up Poe cameras you should bypass the NVR and get a Synology NAS. The benefits over an NVR is that it's multipurpose, surveillance station software is free for up to two ONVIF cameras. (laview works with my Synology NAS) , customize the storage, have easy redundancy, use the NAS for other things in addition to cameras like Plex, file /cloud sharing, local backups of computers.

Matt really loves LaView in particular.. totally not affiliated with them, they're just THAT incredible! /sarcasm

Edit: Truth hurts, I know. Downvote me all you want, I think my best downvoted comment is 45 so you guys have a ways to go, you can do it! Let's see if we can get to 200! I'd be honored!

Thjs isn't an attack on "matt" but rather this for profit website that enforces rules when its convenient but if it's for profit, who cares. Self promotion being one of them. If you look at his/her profile, it's not some fetish for security cameras or even Chinese-only poe cameras in general but rather a very particular brand.

This comment will be descredited and chewed up, downvoted and mocked.. I expect nothing else.

I just hope for those of you here that're just in it for finding great deals remember that there's a lot of fakeness and it's not just the reviews but the promotion of products through these "community" like websites that're actually for profit businesses in themselves. Be smart.
