Amazon has the First Alert 2-In-1 Z-Wave Smoke Detector & Carbon Monoxide Alarm (ZCOMBO) on sale for $34.18 with free shipping.

This is the lowest price in at least a year. Compatible with Ring alarm and Samsung SmartThings (and likely other Z-Wave hubs).

Smoke detector

I'm having trouble adding mine to my ring setup. I'm holding the add button as I close the battery slot but the hub never finds it. Did you do anything different?

I figured it out. I had to reset the unit first by holding the button until I got 1 beep and then a second long beep. Once you do that it will pair when you follow the pairing instructions.

Just a friendly PSA from a fireman, please make sure you have enough smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors, many people also dont know they go bad, so if you have them already take a look on the back of them they will have an end of life date, if it's close replace it please.

These things and keeping bedroom doors shut while sleeping are some of the best things you can do to help in the event you have a fire, and carbon monoxide kills people far more often then you would think based on the news, don't let it happen to you or your family.

Looks like a pretty good deal, even if it's not the best it's ever been, if it's time for one you should just be getting it not waiting around for a better deal, it only takes one bad day.

Sorry off my soapbox

I have one, and was bummed to learn that the alarm can't be cleared remotely. I was hoping to be able to turn it off with a voice command via Alexa or Google Home.

CO2 is carbon Dioxide. CO is carbon Monoxide. Slightly different chemical composition, very different outcomes.

Not that slick. They have been $26 multiple times in the past.
When was that? Been looking a good while.

No hub/system can do that?

December 2017, more than a year ago (therefore my comment on the lowest price in at least a year)

I haven't looked into it any further, but if you can't it's because of a liability concern, and not a technical limitation. Disappointing either way. My wife has to grab a chair to stand on whenever there's a false alarm, and there are plenty.

These are becoming obsolete with some states passing the 10 year battery requirement on smoke detectors. NYS just went into effect this month I believe

If you use it with ring alarm, do you still need smartthings?

Only once. I bought one at that time. But hasn't come down that cheap since.
