currently daily driving a moto e4, double the cpu cores, better camera, better screen, more ram, storage, etc makes this x4 a very tempting upgrade and then would make a fine backup phone for many years tbh. The only major complaints I've ever read about was android auto not working since the oreo update, and the camera not capturing stuff in motion very well....I've had that problem on literally every phone I've ever used including an iphone 6S so I figured that was just common to phones....Are there any used flagships or mid rangers in the 200 and under price range that could capture stuff in motion very well? The Galaxy S7 is in that price bracket now and everybody raved about its camera like it was the best thing ever created by mankind when it was new, but touchwhiz is known to lag out and cripple phones over time so I'm wary of getting it

many complained about the amazon x4 not getting updates but I see people mention it's on Pie already, that's more up to date than many millions/billions of androids forgotten about or tossed to the side over the years.
Camera is the weakest link on any "budget" or even "mid-range" Android phone.

Even the G7 gets plenty of complaints. And it's much better than the X4.

Does this version runs Android One with Amazon stuffs added on top?
I don't think you could say android one, but got this for my wife, and after many many updates it finally hit the April android security update. Not sure how long Lenovo will keep updating this phone, but at least for right now it's as up to date as a pixel.

Amazon moto x4 >>> disable amazon apps >>> update >>> check for new amazon apps, disable & remove widgets >>> keep updating as notifications appear. I literally spent Sunday afternoon & evening updating this phone. At the end of the day, you'll have Android 9 (Pie) with April security update. Not bad.

For $120, it's a great deal. If you want absolutely no hassle, go iphone, but be prepared to shell out your cash.

If you're willing to move to prepaid MVNO carrier, they tend to have good deals on iPhone devices locked to their carrier. I moved from AT&T to Total Wireless and it's a win-win for me, lower monthly payment, more data, and discounted new iPhone (6S or 7). If you are willing to use refurb phone, it's even cheaper.

Of course, this is only if you don't mind locked in for 12 months before you can unlock your phone, which is fine for me.

??
J4+ seems really bad: 720p display, half the cores, almost half the clock frequency.

Just s slight update. LTE/GSM signal is flaky when in areas with low signal. Our Xperia gets a bar or two, whilst Moto X4 either gets none or No Service warrning appears. Maybe it's a software issue, maybe it's a dud. In areas with strong signal no issues whatsoever.

Still available on amazon, as of May 7.

Successfully price matched it at Best Buy, I prefer the factory version that amazon did not muck with.

Maybe I am just lucky with my Best Buy store, but this was not the first time that Best Buy price matched a generic version phone with the prime-only variant.

Are we certain this can be rooted? Right now I'm using an iPhone 7 as a hotspot and I'd like to switch to a cheaper Android phone to do hotspot duties, and maybe google cardboard
