Lol. Insignia.

If you only care about size, sure. You can get a 60" RCA for a great deal too, if you just care about how big it is.

Lol...these low end samsungs have true 4:4:4 sub pixel and i even force enabled freesync on mine, which didn't work on my tcl. The insignias are pure trash.

I just got this tv to replace a seven year old 24in monitor. I'm not a purist or really knowledgeable about tvs, but I'm willing to run any tests or checks you guys want if it helps you make your decision. Just point me to the software or instructional steps.

My first impressions:

Good:
Giant amount of real estate as my left screen. At 125% zoom in Windows, it's great for 2 or 3 Word documents side by side.
At a 45 degree angle and 2.5 feet to the further corner of the screen, the change in color and saturation is barely noticeable, definitely won't bother me day to day
Watching movies and youtube 1080p full screen is great 2 feet away.

Bad:
Compared to my main center monitor, a 6 year old Catleap clone (Apple B+ monitor), the saturation, brightness, and contrast is definitely lacking. Comparing Windows Start bar, the Samsung's tv Start bar looks more like 80% gray than black.
I have no idea what the input lag are on any of my monitors, but I tested this by putting my browser half in my Catleap clone and half in the Samsung, then scrolling up and down rapidly. There is a noticeable lag on the Samsung side. Not sure if the 125% scaling affects this. I did try to help by turning on Game Mode and adjusting some settings on the Samsung TV.
After typing this message on my Catleap clone monitor, then glancing back on the Samsung, the Samsung colors just look washed out.
The picture > expert settings > have like 10 options unchangeable (like tint, color, digital clean view, auto motion plus settings, etc). Not sure if the firmware needs to be updated, but I haven't connected the tv to wifi yet.
Built in speakers have no bass compared to my cheap $50 2.1 speaker system
When assembling the TV, I noticed that 2 edges of back cover felt loose, like you would expect plastic clips to be there. Shaking and flipping the TV, I did not hear any plastic parts rattling, so I don't think the clips broke off. I don't think this affects the longevity since I don't think you would be moving the TV often, but just something that I haven't experienced before.

Overall, I would recommend this TV as a monitor if you need the real estate for document editing, browsing, watching films, and other normal activities. The only exclusion is gaming, the input lag or even my mouse stuttering when moving bothers me. Most of my main criticisms come from my comparison side to side with a superior screen. If you only have 1 monitor, you won't notice it. I'll keep this TV as my left monitor for media.

Double check that this is VA when ya'll get it. Sometimes they use IPS in the Larger or Smaller variants. this is random, you never know for sure.

IPS looks terrible for HDR.

seems kind of like this one
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/sams...lsrc=aw.ds

Samsung - 40" Class - LED - 6 Series - 2160p - Smart - 4K UHD TV with HDR
Model:UN40NU6070FXZA

Funny then the blue shirt geniuses at Best Buy call it a 50 inch TV
"Samsung 50-inch smart 4K UHD TV."

So someone buy it at Worst Buy, test it and bring it back because it's smaller than they said.Applause

If people cared about size/price they would get the biggest TV for less than a smaller TV with about the same quality.
Which is exactly what you're suggesting. You should be a little educated before YOU talk.
