Best Buy via Amazon??
Amazon opened their online shopping service to be a marketplace for 3rd party sellers, many years ago (like eBay has done for much longer). So most anyone can still via Amazon, private or public/commercial/business.
Many popular open online marketplaces, like eBay, Amazon, Rakuten, Google Express, etc.

The benefit for consumers is more options or benefits from buying from the same source/seller/store, when they are on multiple marketplaces.
A consumer may have better benefits on some marketplaces than others, & choose better deals or benefits.
So if you want to buy from a specific seller/store, you can compare all their marketplaces they sell though including direct, to get better overall benefits & deals for the same seller/store.

I'll bet Amazon & the online marketplaces profit from having others sell via their marketplace.
Though some may be considered competitors, likely there is more mutual benefit. & Consumers get more options/choices.

The Best Buy standard sales are weekly (except daily or flash or special sales), normally starting Sunday lasting thru Saturday.
So likely will last until next Sunday, when may change or be extended or stopped.

If daily deal/sale (deal of the day), then 1day.
If flash deal/sale, then time period is usually specified/listed.

When I ask Best Buy staff at stores, they indicate they don't know & are not told the duration of sales. So seems Best Buy doesn't know, except rarer cases of presales or prenotifications (like often happens for major holiday sales, like Black Frida or Cyber Monday; when they give out info ahead of time).

This works with Ring cameras, not sure about other brands.

I bought this (about a month ago at Best Buy, the last time it was on sale for this price) primarily because it was the widest TV that would fit in an existing cabinet (with less than .5 inch to spare). So far, I've been extremely happy with it. The picture looks great and I haven't had any trouble with the interface.

The only knocks I would give it is it only has three HDMI inputs (needed fourth, so I got a splitter), and no component video input.

But mine didn't have any smell, and I happily discovered that my old Toshiba TV remote worked with it (the one that comes with this TV is very minimal).

Does this have a traditional IR remote? I want to use a universal IR remote with the unit.
Not sure about included remote, I think it may be RF. The TV does have an IR receiver. Works great with my Logitech Harmony 650 (which is IR only).

I have this TV hooked up to my U-Verse box and when I go to change channels I hear a popping noise that sounds like it's coming from the inside and not through the speakers. It doesn't do this when I watch things through the actual Fire TV side of things.

While searching for the source of this could be I found old posts about past versions of Insignia TVs saying it could have something to do with the HDMI cord being used.

I didn't really notice it smelling much if at all. I didn't set it up as soon as I received it though. My U-Verse remote works with it really well. I wish I lived in an area that picked up more then a handful of OTA channels.

Here's a previous big thread about this TV with lots of comments and info: https://slickdeals.net/f/12931423-39-insignia-fire-tv-edition-1080p-smart-led-hdtv-130-free-shipping?v=1

Personally the one I bought didn't have any smell, so that seems to be YMMV. There's also some comments about it losing it's Wi-Fi connection if you don't watch it for a few days, that happened once or twice so that's an odd quirk, I guess if hard-wired is an option for you that might be a better choice.

I've had this TV in my bedroom for the last few months. Yes, so far, getting all the OS updates and can sideload apps like Kodi just like a regular Fire TV.

It's just so odd to see a company sell their product on a competitor's website.
It's a win win for both companies, why not?

Grabbed one at BB during lunch. Really good deal, considering it's cheaper than the 32". Thanks!

The Fire remote is Bluetooth but the TV does support IR. I use a Harmony 650 that works perfectly. However, I just found this exchange on the Best Buy Q&A:

Q: I am trying to use a third party remote on my Insignia but when I try to turn it off it asks "Are you sure you want to turn the TV off" and it won't let me move from that screen unless I use the Insignia remote. How do I deactivate this?
A: Hello. With this TV we always recommend to use its own remote instead of a universal one, the Fire remote will allow you to enjoy all of its special functions. Also, if you want to turn the TV off using the universal remote you will always need to use the Fire remote to confirm that actions. Charles O. Insignia support.

I don't know what Mr. O is talking about. The Harmony off button works and I never use the Fire remote except for set up purposes.
