I've been waiting for this to go on sale. My 1st immersion blender.

Would the Braun 725 with the extra attachment and 1 cup container be a better value, it is on sale too.
Wondering how often I would really use those things.
If anyone uses an immersion blender and/or has attachments, I'd like to know if you think it's worth the extra $22.12

I have this from Epica: https://www.amazon.com/Epica-Heav...B00WIRLXUE

I use the food processor attachment all the time. Sure it's not 100% as good as a food processor, but I'm a bit short on space and it's serviceable for finely chopping zucchini for muffins, dicing garlic for stir fry, or that sort of thing.

I use the whisk attachment all the time. It completely replaces a mixer for me--but baking is my weakest aspect, as a cook. It's actually the plain blender attachment that I never use anymore, now that I got a dedicated smoothie blender.

Any ideas if I can get buy a dough kneading attchement separately which would fit with this blender?
Are you serious? But if you're going to be standing there fighting the dough, you may as well use your hands, right?

pretty cool. i am buying this to blend blueberry, protein powder, yogurt and almond. wish it will work great.
In my experience, a cheap smoothie blender (thing Magic Bullet knock-off) beats immersion blenders for smoothies.

I bought this primarily to make homemade mayo with it. The design prevents it from venting properly so it won't make a good emulsion. I was very disappointed with this purchase.

Stick blender does it all. Also makes large batches of soup as well with minimal cleanup which is the primary benefit.

I have used Cuisinart and this Braun. Braun runs quiter, the way it is designed won't splash my coffee like Cuisinart when making bulletproof coffee and it feels better built. However, two Cuisinart still works fine after so many years, one Braun went bad after few years.

I have a Kitchenaid I like. I use it mainly for semi-smoothing out or liquefying soups like tomato basil.

Just got one of these the other day, it works nice. Got fed up with my Cuisinart CSB-75 (200 watts) because it couldn't make mayo very well without having to work it a lot.
