They should really just sell at this price, seriously. The original price tag is just expensive. Lot of refurbished pixel 3s out there. Quality control is not up to bar.
Nexus phone prices were great.

Question for y'all.
I need a phone for my diabetic 11 year-old son to use with his glucose monitor. Using a phone allows the data to by uploaded and we can see his readings while he's at school or a friend's house and get high/low alerts. I'm looking at either giving him my old S7 and getting the Pixel 3 for me, getting him the Iphone 7 from T-mo for $360, or I just saw the Costco deal for the G6. What are your thoughts? Has anyone owned both the Galaxy series and the Pixel? How does the Pixel compare to the S7? Should I just go cheap with the G6 and wait to get myself a better phone later?

You would be better off giving him your S7 because it's better than the Iphone 7. Here is a link of the cpu comparison [versus.com] With that money get something for you. The 2 things I love about the Pixel is the unlimited cloud storage for any photos and videos uploaded from your Pixel(my kids are 11 and 8) and the software updates. 2TB of google cloud storage is 99.99 a year if you prepay annually and you have unlimited, not just 2TB. When the new version of the OS comes out, you'll be the first to get it. My last Samsung was the Note 3, had the LG 4 after and now a 1st gen Pixel XL for the past 2 years. Still working just as fast as the day I got it. They are always updating and optimizing it. I've never had a phone work so flawlessly for so long. Upset I missed the Google Fi 50% off deal for the XL. There will be other deals as the 4 comes near that would hopefully be cheaper. Best of luck with whatever you choose.

As soon as I saw the pixel 50% off deal, I jumped on it.

This brings the Pixel 3xl in line with the op6t. Any thoughts on which way to go? I sold myself on the op6t, and I missed the 50% with GoogleFi, but this is still a great deal. Especially with 24 month, 0% financing.

Pardon. 699 is a bit over the price of a comparable OnePlus 6t.

Get a pixel 2 xl instead of the 3 . Pretty shit phone. Smaller battery, no led indicator, no face Unlock. Wait for the 4 or get a 2 xl

never buying a Pixel day 1 ever again. Not only was it a shitshow, but this damn phone dropped $250 within a month and half. Oh and these scumbags never gave my $50 pre-order bonus
