Wish they updated the design with slim bezels at least.
The laptop in the OP actually is the updated model with thin bezels from 2018! The bezels before that were like an inch thick all around. Insanity.

I spent a little bit more than this when I bought mine a year ago. The only thing I don't like about it is the sharp edges where your wrists would be while you type. Drives me insane. I'm not sure this year's redesign addresses that as the newer model looks like it has sharp edges all around.

Can this be compared to the Huawei matebook x pro?
The Matebook x Pro has a dedicated GPU, and the Razer stealth does not. It's also a bit thinner/lighter. The Huawei doesn't have RGB keyboard, and in my opinion the screen hinge is a little weak, at least compared to the one on the Stealth. Hard not to appreciate the Matebook's screen and tiny bezels, though.

Got open box satisfactory .... for $700 out the door... but concern is that it ended up being the display model. It's in excellent shape, but not sure if being the display model would be an issue....
I walked into my local store to look at their "satisfactory" unit. It was awful. The keys were grimy and look like they had stuck to the glass display, which was filthy.

So like any other ultrabook with a thunderbolt port. At $1200 seems like a poor buy.
Fair, but most ultrabooks are in this premium tier price range without the thunderbolt.
The thunderbolt makes a difference for somebody willing to pay the premium and hook up the EGPU.

True. That is a nice feature, and at the open box price, it does seem much more reasonable than new. Also, if you're into the looks of this computer, that's a good plus as well (including the RGB keyboard).

Ddr3 without gaming video card? $
So it costs 1.1k and you have to spend another 600 for a average egpu? Total cost 1. 7k to have zero mobility and play games in a low profile hardware with an ddr3 memory
With 2k you can buy a 600 bucks laptop ajd invest the rest on a average desktop

That's not slick

I've had amazing luck with satisfactory units at Best Buy. Literally like new without original box. Tested and fully functional no wear. Get them when they go on sale and my local store always goes well below what the site says.

This is not priced right.

U pay $1200 for the base, and another $200 + $300 for dock and gpu just to have a Kind of Shitty gaming experience.

That's what I was trying to say. Ddr3 in 2019 is a joke, that's 2007 technology

Besides for a tiny scratch, its like brand new... .the computer sales guy said someone put the wrong price on it.... and rang it up anyway. Might go back and get the extended warranty just to be on the safe side.

Go for it! I will say that when I did check out the "satisfactory" RSB unit at my local BBY I was able to negotiate the price down $100. I walked away though. Good luck!
