I have been using Moto's for along time started with the g4 have the g5 plus right now. Grandaughter has the g6 They are all great phone's no bloatware like big names. Yeah mabey camera is not super great mine is fine. For the money you can not find a better. Phone. PLEASE stay away from The Red Chi-coms stuff.

Picked up the G5S Plus 64/4GB to use with the free Sprint deal a year and a half ago, and while I think the phone itself is solid, the camera is garbage. It's sad, because I haven't had any real issues to speak of otherwise. Not sure how big of a performance hit you'd see in the lower 32/3GB model.

If this phone is anything like the Moto G5 Plus, then stay away from this phone if you care about taking photos. Not only is the image quality poor, I had to send in my phone twice for the exact same reason which was the camera was not loading and I would receive error messages intermittently. This was especially frustrating when using the camera app with 3rd party programs like banking apps, since it didn't give you any error messages and instead the app would just start glitching out.

My original G5/64GB/4ram has been good for the past 2 years, other than the camera randomly turning off from time to time. I hear a lot of horror stories about this one, it always made me wonder about this version. I kind of want to pick this up for a gift, but kind of afraid.

Moto Lenovo makes crappy cripple crotch phones. They're overpriced as well. This deal shouldn't be over $100 with the mint svc.

8GB for 3 months or 8GB per month. Update looks like it's per month and this seems like a really good deal and after the 3 months I can lock in at $20 a month for a year? What towers do the run on. Anyone have luck with mint mobile. Also If i wanted to go with their 12GB plan for $25 a month for a year do i have to get a new sim card from them? How do they compare to Republic Wireless that I have had for years now.

Got a refurb, unlocked G5 plus with 4GB ram/64GB storage last December from ebay for $120 and still love it. I don't take photos often but it does the job and no random close issue like others mentioned about G5.

Mint runs on the native T-Mobile network. You can get the $15, $20, or $25 a month rate (with 3, 8, or 12GB data per month) by prepaying for the year. I don't believe you have to get a new SIM card to change plans. I think you do need to get a new SIM card and plan if you want to change (or port-in) a number after the initial signup. This is why their trial kit (NOT the one that comes with this deal) comes with two SIM cards. So far I've been impressed with Mint. They support VoLTE, Wi-Fi calling, and tethering. The couple places I've speed tested it came in around 70mbps down.

Thanks for the info. I'm on RW now on sprint cause T mobile don't seem to be good where Im at. I'm paying $30 a month for 3gb and always come close to using it. I guess I could give this a go for 3 months and go back to RW as this phone would work and not be out much as I would be saying $90 over the 3 months not having a RW bill.

I think mint mobile has 7 days refund period. You don't need to try it out for 3 mo
