My first post, be gentle.

I think this is the lowest price that I've seen on SD for this monitor. It's 1440p and 120Hz. Looks pretty slick!

3440 X 1440 WQHD Resolution
4ms Response Time
178°/178° Viewing Angle
HDMI Connectivity
1000:1 Contrast Ratio
120Hz

Damn, I don't know if I should jump on this. I just bought my LG 34UC88 for $549.99 - this is a pretty good deal though! I can't really play games at 120FPS @1440p with my 1080ti sadly. Forza Horizon 4 maxes around 70-80FPS with max settings.
I have this, a 1080ti and a i7-9700k. On the lighter end, overwatch easily gets 120+. On the heavier end destiny 2 gets 89 frames and anthem(the most demanding) got 65.

Not here to thread crap because this is a good price for this monitor but people should know what they are getting into. This monitor would be good for someone who like to play RPGs or single player games like Tomb Raider or Assassin's Creed AND likes to maybe watch movies or Netflix. However if you are primarily going to be using this to game then you should not be looking into getting this monitor. The sheer size of the monitor makes it useless for competitive games such as Fortnite, Overwatch, League of Legends. Dota, etc. as you will miss out on details on the sides. If you fall into the gaming crowd you should be looking at something a lot smaller than this (and they will be cheaper too); 24 inches is the standard in gaming tournaments.
wait wut? let me clarify some things:
1. if you play twich shooter games competitively , like e-sports competitively, then what are you doing looking at IPS panels? You want a TN. Why? because response time. theres your answer.
2. in all other instances it depends on the twich shooter game. Some of those have UW support and this will definitely give u a competitive edge because u can "see" more: CS GO, BF , COD just to name a few., Couple that with a reasonable high refresh rate and you've got a pretty good setup for gaming whether twich multiplayer or not
3. The ones u mentioned I know Overwatch doesn't have UW support which is why buying something like this will just not give u that competitive edge instead it will just stretch out the image plus plenty of other games just dont support UW like Sekiro SDT for example.
4. There is always a tradeoff between high refresh and higher resolution and it should come down to the games you are playing as some like i mentioned may benefit from UW and a reasonable high refresh vs standard and a higher refresh.

Downvoted into oblivion for telling the truth lol. The fact that Fry's went as low as $500 tells me that they were trying to clear in-store stock. I imagine the price of this monitor is going to go down even further very soon so it's not bad advice for people to wait a little bit.
It has been $500 clearance, at Frys for a few months. I know this because when I bought mine from Dell (for $800) I was trying to figure out if it made sense to get a friend that lived near the Burbank Frys that still had it in stock to buy it for me. Ultimately I needed it quickly (monitor died) so just paid the premium at Dell - just so happened the guy from that $500 thread got lucky and got a Price Match no one else thought they would be possible. He got it, posted it and the rest is history. Some got lucky and others, trying through multiple PM attempts got nothing.

Nothing about Frys selling this for $500 is a sign of where the market is for this monitor in particular. This monitor will float around $700 until its no longer available. End of life, sure you may find some retailer clearing them out, but it'll be another YMMV and while those are great if you stumble upon those deals... only a fool would waste their life waiting for a YMMV deal.

What is the return policy on this than? Is it actually a lifetime return policy? That seems insanely/absurdly amazing - I'm glad people have reached out to costco reps to confirm but that "tuner free displays" is pretty gray area in my opinion and could easily be applied to monitors. Do we have this in writing somewhere on Costco?
Costco does not have a lifetime return policy.. how would they make money if everyone can return anything anytime ??

LOL! I didn't even notice that. That's awesome...

Yeah, gaming monitors are making the turn now and I totally expect to see lower prices on existing top tier monitors as we get closer to the new tech becoming mainstream.
Defiler didn't get down-voted into oblivion for telling the truth - he got it for bragging. If he has mentioned that his purchase was YMMV as a Pricematch from Frys for context, it wouldn't have been taken as harshly. The post below it from CarbonJav33, with only up-votes proves that.

Imagine, you're at a party and talking about sweet deals on this monitor and Defiler comes up and says, "yeah bro, I just got this last week for $500 at Best Buy"... that helps no one and is inaccurate, someone not bragging would say, "yeah bro, I got in on that Frys pricematch to Best Buy last week, YMMV though as I was super lucky to get it. Costco warranty and return policy kinda makes up for it though". I know its hard to navigate these small human intricacies, but they are there.

120hz is the highest a 21:9 IPS panel will go, right? There's no 144hz monitors that arent TN and VA?
