I'm not sure but I think the bundled inflated pillow might make this more expensive than without

I would go with the Klymit Self-Inflate V Sleeping Pad on Amazon instead. Cheaper and better R-value. Only downside is it doesn't come with inflatable pillow or storage sack.

Pack Size: 21" x 5.5" (more downside)

In my opinion the insulated version is the best value because the the pad itself normally costs more than $50 by itself. The normal price difference between an insulated pad and non-insulated pad is about $20. I have used my insulated pad for tent camping and even hammocking. works well in many conditions.

Never tried the X pillows though, can anyone comment on that?

Not a fan of the X pillows. Got one in a recent promo for "free" with $10 shipping and found it awkwardly shaped and less comfortable than my Trekology. The valve is also not as well designed for small deflation adjustments common in other pillows.

Good point on the pack size. Probably a deal breaker if you're doing any backpacking vs car camping.

Weight-2.9 lbs
would work fine for car camping but good luck carrying that 10 miles up a mountain

Thanks, I pulled the trigger on the insulated one earlier today
