I believe because the gift card is only for another Dell purchase. Other than these deals, I don't see many peopke having that need so in essence it's not really a deal

For me, it's because it expires in 90 days and resale is a pain

I did a deal like this 2 years ago and it was ok. Check out the dell store and plan out your purchase beforehand. The $200 Dell card might be worth about $100 in amazon/newegg dollars.

Product Red, stylized as (PRODUCT)RED™, is a licensed brand that seeks to engage the private sector in raising awareness and funds to help eliminate HIV/AIDS in eight African countries.[1] It is licensed to partner companies including Nike, American Express (UK), Apple Inc., The Coca-Cola Company, Starbucks, Converse, Electronic Arts, Head, Buckaroo, Penguin Classics (UK & International), Gap, Armani, Hallmark (US), SAP, Beats Electronics, and Supercell. The concept was founded in 2006 by U2 frontman and activist Bono, together with Bobby Shriver of the ONE Campaign and DATA. The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria is a recipient of Product Red's money.

The TV feet and border are red, which I find distracting.
