I've been happy with the 6-battery charger.

If you all of a sudden must charge several batteries at the exact same time, yes, separate chargers will be faster. But I've never found myself in that situation - this keeps 6 charged up & I can switch to charged ones while the others recharge, even if using multiple tools.

If you are a very heavy user (using many tools simultaneously for long periods of time), I suppose you could run out, but for one person's usage, I've never come close to not having a charged battery.

And the main point is that it is much more compact & cleaner than 6 separate chargers.

Agreed. I really like mine as well.

In addition to being more compact and easier to install on wall than 6 separate chargers, it is:
  • Faster charger than the black single chargers (but one at time)
  • A nice way to transport batteries

Not sure its worth $100, but I picked up as free tool during the "great $149 brushless combo deal" and sold off other stuff to make it free.

I need an orbital sander. Ive only had corded ones in the past, I have plenty of ryobi batteries, just curious how this compares to say a cheap corded orbital. Seems like a decent deal if I get same type of results, not sure if I would ever use cat sander though...hmmm

Which, if any, of these sanders would be good for shaving down a door that sticks?

The sheet sander, but that would take a while.

Probably a planer or belt sander would be better.

For that you really want a plane or belt sander, but lacking those the random orbital will be a good fit.

I really really need one of those 6 battery chargers
I have all the Craftsman c3 line which I do really like... But one of my biggest reasons to hold on and not upgrade is the wall mount four batt charger. It's so useful lol

neither

just get a hand planer at harbor freight and plane down the high spot on the door. it'll get the job done for cheap

C3 is being discontinued and is fetching top top dollar on eBay

if i were you, i would ditch the C3 while it has the massive resale that it does, and move over to Ryobi. that's what i did. the profits made selling all of my C3 stuff paid for all of my new Ryobi stuff

Looks like the bare tools bought separately would be $128 with no batteries.

Yeah same, got all of my stuff for a small fraction of what they were retail. Plus points and tons of it for free. A lot of the C3 stuff is going for more than retail hence the perfect time to sell. Example I sold the auto ratchet for $200 lol. I paid $23 after points
