Not the best nor the lowest price ever but $45 vice $59.99 before tax is still a good deal. Don't forget to price match at your preferred retailer, if permitted.

I'm not sure LG Eevee has been lower. Pikachu has been lower on DailySteals via Facebook, but I've never actually seen Eevee lower than this.

Edit: This was just a statement. It was not written with any argumentative undertones. I have never seen LG Eevee at a better price, and I thought that was worth mentioning.

Just a heads up a lot of walmarts have priced down the Pokemon Let's Go with Pokeball down to 49.99, was able to snag one off brickseek search nearby and a fair amount are still in stock

If this is what I think it is, I've heard this likened to Pokemon go... Which makes it seem maybe simplified to me. Is it more like an original Pokemon game, but also like Pokemon snap? Trying to gauge whether I would enjoy it

It's kind of a reimagining of the original Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow with an un-evolvable starter (Eevee or Pikachu depending on the version). They've added some quality-of-life improvements, but stripped out many of the enhancements of more recent Pokemon gens.

It has:
  • Basic online battles/trading with codes for matching
  • Importing Gen 1 (and Alolan Gen 1 variant) Pokemon from Pokemon Go
  • Visible Pokemon on the map instead of random blind battles
  • A simplified catching mechanism (you go straight to a catching mini-game, no battle beforehand except for specials/legendaries)
  • A catch-combo mechanism that improves the odds of finding rare and shiny Pokemon
  • Mega evolution stones near the end of the game
  • Ability to walk with/ride/fly on certain Pokemon
  • Reusable TMs
  • A much less annoying HM mechanic (no need to have a Pokemon learn it, can just use it after it is acquired)
  • Separate saves per Switch profile (great if you have multiple Pokemon players in the house)
It does not have
  • Pokemon Breeding
  • Pokemon item holding
  • Extensive character customization (can change clothing for char and starter Pokemon with a limited selection of attire)
  • Random Pokemon battles (just catching)
  • Access to the Pokebank
  • An extensive end-game unless you like the idea of grinding for shiny varieties
  • Access to Mew without purchasing a NEW Pokeball Plus controller (and you can only transfer in Mew one time, so better hope nothing happens to your save).
  • Cloud saves (so if your Switch dies, bye-bye Pokemon saves).
My older son has gotten a lot of enjoyment from it, but I think (hope?) the upcoming Sword/Shield will have more to do after the main game is done.

Same, it was far away from me though, had a buddy pick it up for me. Out of a 50 mile radius in Houston, 2 stores showed Limited Stock. Luckily the one my buddy went to had one for him to buy for me.

That is a slick deal since the retail for game + pokeball is $99. I checked Brickseek and there are still some out there (Walmart #2273 in Burton MI has 3 Pikachu+ Pokeball in stock for $49.94). Unfortunately none close to me. Happy hunting!

With BBY GCU, price dropped to $35.99 before tax which is obviously good.
