It amazes me that they continue to charge such a large premium for these. What's the deal? Patents? I have to assume that the cost to produce one of these is under $50.

That having been said, I have one and I really like it. I probably paid around $200 and I find that it's really nice to be able to set up the schedule and control it from my phone.

Agreed. I got mine for $140 around Christmas and I love mine, but the prices are severely inflated.

I got these for 124, for BF 2018. Returned it, because installing it required rewiring the existing system by a professional and that wasn't cheap. Read about compatibility before investing. Also, $170 is definitely inflated. Someone who brought loads of these during BF, is trying to make profit.

I have 2. One I have has no issues connecting to to wifi. The second keeps showing up as offline in the app. Now the same one doesn't discover any wifi available.
Buddy of mine had similar issues and ended up going with ecobee which he says is a much better product.
