Pretty damn slick. If I didn't drop so much on 420 I'd be all over this.

Hold off, I got this for the same price and then it went down to $1,200 later. Fortunately my aviator card had price protection

Got this for $1250 no CA Tax two weeks ago.
This deal seems like it'd be useful for those who want to price match at BB to get the geeksquad warranty with burn in protection.

B is the base model... C is a slight upgrade... Both have lower end bezels and stands... The second digit indicates the year. I have a 55 B6. In 2016, the C model used to be curved, but they don't do that anymore. The I think the newer C has a slightly upgraded CPU... But the stand, OLEDs, remote control, and everything else are the same.

E is supposed to be 'creme of the crop', with a higher end bezel, better built in sound, and some fancy 'picture on glass' technology that reduces the amount of glass between you and the OLEDs for more clarity and a reduced bezel profile.

E used to be the flagship in 2015, 2016 and 2017... But W has replaced E as the 'Wallpaper' Flagship model.

I believe all have same picture quality and processor. E8 adds "picture on glass" (which is just a fancy way of saying the screen is basically a piece of glass with a TV in it, looks really nice tho) and an attached sound bar. W8 is very similar to E8 but the sound bar is not attached.

B8 shares the same processor as last years C7 models.
C8 and E8 have the newer (not newest now that its 2019) processor.
B8, C8 and E8 all have the same internal image panel
B8 and C8 have a metal/plastic bezel and mount. Its a bit of a misnomer to label them "lower end".
E8 has a glass/metal/plastic bezel and mount that is supposed to be better than the C8 even though they share the same panel and processor.
E8 has audio equal to a basic soundbar

To be very frank most folks will the think the B8, C8 and E8 will all look the same technically. To be even more frank, you are not buying an E8 for better image (you are not getting it), you are buying it for aesthetics. Some of that added cost is for the premium sound it comes with that still should be replaced at minimum by a dedicated soundbar.

When buy the E8 you really, truly should only be wanting it because it looks like a beautiful piece of tech, not because you think you are getting better audio and imagery.

when buying a C8 you are wanting video that is top of the line, but would rather save some cash on appearances.

When buying the B8 you want near top of the line, razor thin difference at that and don't need fancy video processing bells and whistles.

I won't go into detail but the newer processors in the C8 and E8 are actually to make 1080p SDR content better looking and not 4k HDR. IF you find yourself still watching live TV and DVDs or Blurays... you want the C8 or E8, if you mainly stream 4k and 4k UHD discs... you'll be surprised to know the B8 is your best friend

Picture on glass is purely aesthetic. It has absoultly zero impact on picture quality or clarity and increases the bezel size. All picture on glass does is glue a large piece of glass to the back of the TV that sticks out about 1/4 inch past the side bezels and about 4 inches pass the bottom bezel to create an extended glass bezel. The stand also sticks through the glass for a premium look. But it looks dumb when wall mounted due to a large hole in the glass.

No more LG's.
I had bought the LG OLED 55" version less than two years ago for $1450 and got the screen burn effect after the first year had just passed. It was strange as the burn appeared exactly where you normally see a moving ticker at the bottom of the screen on news channels. So it was not a still image. I had heard screen burn can appear if there is a still image for long time on the screen.
Couple of weeks back the TV refused to turn on altogether. I tried troubleshooting and looking up online and surprisingly there are so many complains about LG TV's. Mine was built in Mexico but I don't want to comment on the manufacturing source. Better to buy a Samsung or Sony I believe.

The W8 is actually totally different from the E8. The W8 screen is only the display and is crazy thin (.28") and only 15lbs. It mounts with magnets to a bracket on the wall. They took all the tv guts and put them in the sound bar and connected it with a ribbon like cable. It is totally flat against the wall.

The hub/sound bar has to be decently close to the TV so that is a draw back. But man is it impressive to see how thin it is.

A simple search shows, no, no the E8 has not.
