Man do i really need an rgb mousepad? i feel like its so stupid, and yet i want it

yeah this is stupid, can't believe i'm on the edge to buy it.

It is razer, which means its designed to wear out in a short amount of time and that alone will drive me away from a $30 mousepad.

edit: upon further investigation my suspicions are correct, heres a good review to sum it up

I had to end up putting a cheap cloth mouse pad over top of this because it made my mouse skip too bad. The lights lasted for about 2 months, but are now so dim you can't even tell that it lights up anymore. It's not a good mouse surface for gaming, and if you're buying it just for the lighting, don't expect it to last very long. This is a common problem if you look at other reviews.

Is there any item that needs an LED less than a mousepad?
I use the big 1 meter long ones so it goes under my keyboard and mouse together, so even though my LED-quest would have me get it, it is too small and useless.

I have this mouse pad and have been using it for about 2 years. It works perfectly and shows absolutely no wear. Just bought a second one for my wife so she could get over her Firefly envy.

SteelSeries has a pretty amazing RGB long pad. I've quite enjoyed it. RGB everything haha

I've had it for over 2 years with a lot of use, and the lights still going on strong and the pad is perfect.

Rgb mousepad will technically increase your accuracy. You'll see it, be happy and cheereful be in a great mood thus, improving your playing skill. So in reality it's a emotional booster that your paying for. Just tell your wife that when she tells you how dumb you are for buying a piece of plastic with lights. If that doesn't work just tell her she puts colorful pieces of plastic over her fingernails.

edit: so my wife saw my Amazon purchase and I tried telling her the whole mumbo-jumbo explanation. let's just say, she's always going to have nice nails. 😭

Thankfully my wife wanted this so I snagged it for her. She loves our RGB mechanical keyboards

I can't speak to the hard surface as I have the cloth edition but I can tell you I have had mine for 2 years or so. No problems, no issues, and I frequently use the computer throughout the week. I have never had a bad razor product other than the wireless man o war headset. It's a fun mousepad that looks very good if combined with the RGB keyboard and/or appropriate razer mouse. I would absolutely recommend, however it's also not necessary.

Enjoy.
