Netgear Orbi RBK33 at Amazon $160

Amazon has the Netgear Orbi RBK33 for $160:

Seems like a better deal than the RBK22 on sale at Costco for $150.

I'm stuck between this one and the Smartthings wifi - need a ST Hub anyway. Suggestions?

It has some pretty poor reviews about random internet dropouts. I had good results with linksys ac2200 mesh router and velop tri band. Returned it for linksys ea9500 tri band router and re9000 range extender. Speeds are faster.

I would buy AC3200 model instead of this AC2200. Usability wise it is pretty good. Setup is pretty straightforward through their app and adding a satelitte is also pretty easy. In terms of speed, it is definitely slower than a direct connection to regular router. And the speed for AC3200 is also capped I think at 800mbps. Not sure what's the cap for this AC2200 model. I am guessing probably less than AC3200 model. So as long as you are not expecting gigabit fiber speeds, you should be satisfied.

I'm using the 1 satellite version of this for 3 months now . Works well and haven't had any problems.

I wonder why they never apply that $40 coupon to the RBK50. Seems like they have applied it to every model but that one.

I've installed it at my bosses house. Works great. His house was built in the 40's and added on in in the 80's. It cover 4000+ sq feet through plaster and outside.

If you have a dedicated router to do the routing or if you're okay with limited parental controls then get the Samsung Connect Home 3 pack.

I thought there was routing built in to the Smart things pack?

It does, but it lacks power controls
