I don't mind Google mini but it tends to get annoying when I'm listening to music. It goes off, maybe trying to sing along and then asking me questions. Alexa is still behind when it comes to answering regular questions and carrying out some basic tasks.

Hate these things. Have them in my classroom and they are lightyears behind Alexa in terms of usability and understanding. Changing my classroom to Echo Dots next year and giving my Minis to a fellow teacher.
The only thing dumber than alexa is home pod

Yep, good times. That may have been the single greatest deal in Slickdeals history.
Oh no, I think my fave was the coke codes deal from like 2006. There were a whole bunch of multiple use codes to redeem for a large selection of merchandise. But 2006 electronic aren't comparable to a Google mini.

What specifically do you hate about them? I'm in the market for one of these and trying to learn what ppl love/hate in general

Alexa never recognized my commands very well from a full sized Echo but the Google Mini seems to work a ton better. Maybe it's just my voice...

Another fantastic deal was when MS gave out free MSDN memberships that included access to installers and product keys for just about all of their software. I can't remember exactly when it was. Before Windows 7, I think.

google should just give them away, since they collect data from you. Even for free, I would think twice before using it.
