These were $430 on black Friday. I'm waiting for the 2950x to hit this price, after the new ones come out.

Funny actually, It was $500 at MicroCenter probably since Black Friday. The price just went up to $529 last week.

If you have a Frys near you, they'd probably Price Match. Or any store that sells them considering Microcenter is a B&M location and have several stores.

I know Amazon doesn't price match, but if you have Prime, you could always try doing a Live chat to try and get something out of it. They seem to favor prime members

These were even lower than $430, Newegg had them for $410 a few days before Thanksgiving. Not slick at all.

Only paint or solitaire but not both at once. To run mine sweeper you need 128 cores on ddr5

I heard that some people get by with this CPU for Minecraft when they download more RAM. : https://downloadmoreram.com/

These are for an entirely different audience than Ryzen - but what I will say is if you wait for Ryzen 3000 to drop, these will likely come down even more.

those processor are good if you can use it. however, they use a lot of power. they have 60 PCI-e lanes, which allows for 3 nvme drive and 48 pice lane for other stuff.
my system would use upward of 500w when doing video trans-coding (oc to 3.95 GHz across all 16 cores), normal operation takes about 180w. which is a huge increase from intel system that sips 70w idle and 200 W max (but that only got quad core vs 16 cores)
this is one of those thing that if you need it, you would have bought it already, if you have to ask, then you don't need it.
