Been using one with T-Mobile for almost a year and is great, battery is very good also, 6-7 hours screen time, easily goes a whole day without a charge.

you can also sell the cricket prepaid card in eBay and offset the cost even more.
when i got mine in store i was also able to return the SIM card after they sold me the kit for $10 back before i left.

i had 2 SIM cards in for atleast 6 months and they both work at same time for talk/txt which is pretty cool

WiFi calling w T-Mobile works fine (look at attached screenshot), it has NFC for payment, NO wireless charging, missing band 71 for T-Mobile - not a problem at all, only new phones have it anyway - Galaxy S9 and newer devices

bought mine for $240 i believe and thats was a good deal back then

Does this phone work well with T-Mobile's wifi calling and support all T-Mobile bands?

We're talking about the TA-1045. I have this phone and use it on Mint Mobile, a TMO MVNO. In a chat session with Mint, they told me that WiFi calling is not available (even though it can be turned on the phone and indicator says it is on). If you have service directly from TMO, WiFi calling may function. I cannot answer the question of whether this phone includes all necessary bands.

Have 3 of these on Cricket. Great phone. Fingerprint unlocks, monthly security updates from Android One. Super features and value. Camera is OK, I haven't installed the Pixel app or rooted. Has NFC for device unlock or tap-n-pay.

Metal frame and solid build. In think it's the best sub-$200 phone out now.

In addition to missing band 12, it also appears to be missing bands 2, 4, 66, and 71. That only leaves band 5 for compatibility with T-Mobile.

T-Mobile Supported Bands: 2, 4, 5, 12, 66, 71 (from https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-4988)
