This Wide Angle Lens for Fuji X Mount is available for $249. Usually listed for $299. Please note this is a Manual Lens but focus peaking on the Fuji does make it easy to shoot landscapes & very good for astro photography

Not sure if I should give this another shot. I had it for the Fuji. Not sharp and a lot of CA. I know how to use manual lenses so it wasn't user error. Ended up returning it, however a lot of the reviews of this thing are pretty good.
My copy had a lot of CA as well. I think that is one of the compromises inherent to this optical formula. Mine was sharp though so it sounds like you may have received a lemon. But even though I own other "better" more expensive lenses, this one is somewhat annoyingly my favorite.

It used to be a true statement. Viltrox introduced a $379 auto-focus lens for the Fuji system 5 months ago (still on pre-order at reputable sites) - an 85mm F1.8. According to Viltrox, they spent 3-4 years developing it - mainly in part because it's their first lens. There are only a handful of reviews on it so far, but all of them have been extremely positive so far. One reviewer who does photographer for a living says the image from the Viltrox is about 95% comparable to the $900 Fujifilm 90mm F2.0 lens; and build-quality and auto-focus accuracy is actually even better than the Fujifilm. I pre-ordered mine and should be getting it around mid-May.

ooo the 85mm would be awesome! I have the Nikon 85mm f1.8D from my old setup and would consider selling it and maybe buy this one in the future.

Looks like the lowest price on 3camels site...very tempting, I just picked up an xt3 with 18-55 kit from greentoe and new to Fuji x system. Not very familiar with peeking focus for this lens...16 f1.4 from Fuji was very much on my list but way more 💲💲

The sigma gives you auto focus and is a faster lens.

This one would be 90% for landscape

If you really want this lens for sony e mount, amazon have silver one for $215 (that price shows for my business account)

Just got this a couple weeks back from the Photosavings deal and am currently leaving it on my X-T3 as the default lens. Depsite two decades of amateur photography I've never had a lens as wide as this and it is amazing how much you can fit into the frame. This would be a quite a difference from the 16mm. And for a lens this wide autofocus should not be needed much and you can set it to the hyperfocal distance especially for landscapes and such.

Did you have the focus dial right on the infinity marker? I have mine right before that "L" shaped line and it's peak focused. Other Samyang/Rokinon 12mm owners have had this problem too where the focus was off when they have the focus dial at infinity

Bought this (Samyang variant) for $228 after 20% coupon discount few weeks back. Used it for Northern lights photography and wide landscapes. Amazing little lens, infinity focus on my lens was on spot for stars !

The Sigma kills this lens in every way. If you dont mind the 4mm difference then it's an easy pick.

I have an X-A3 with stock lens. I am going to Banff this summer and want to take some great landscapes and possibly some astrophotography. Unfortunately I have very little experience with photography. Given this lens does not have autofocus, do you think this would be a good purchase for me, provided i do some pracyicing for the next few months?

The mount is available for only MFT, Fuji X Mount & Canon. So i would doubt if this would work on Sony

Any idea if Adorama will price-match Amazon? Adorama wouldn't charge sales tax to California while Amazon will. In addition, get 1% points on Adorama not available on Amazon.
