If typing is your main usage:

Keyboard wise, you can find cheaper options that are higher quality without paying for the marketing and "gaming" flair.

Switches wise, these are Cherry MX Browns, which are the same ones as your G610. I would recommend blue switches if you're strictly typing and see how you would like those. People prefer different brands so those are options to look into as well (Gateron Blue, Cherry MX Blue, etc.)

EDIT: added "paying for"

Is this one of the best mechanical keyboards for Typing? I have a Logitech G610 with brown switches and it feels weird. I don't like it. Maybe I need red switches.

Just be aware that Blues are loud and clicky and people around you might complain if you're in an office or something. If you like Browns, but find them too soft for typing, I suggest Clears (but it's more of a niche switch, and Corsair and the major brands don't sell them).

Try out different switches in store from display keyboards to figure out what suits to your liking

Great price for this keyboard. The aluminum body is much nicer than the plastic one.

If you have a microcenter near you they have an aisle full of keyboards on display where you can click away and get a feel for some of the different brands and style keys.

Blues are very clicky, Browns are (I believe) the quietest, or on the quieter side. I have this keyboard with Reds and they're less clicky than I thought and type great. Like someone mentioned, if you're typing alone clicky might not matter, but if you live with someone or type around other people, then clicky might not be wise.

I second what another poster said about there being other, cheaper, maybe better options out there for typing. Reddit has a number of threads on keyboards you might want to check out.

Microcenter usually have mechanical keyboards with 3 mostly used switches red, blue, brown.. They may not have the exact key board you're interested in but finely switches to try.

I have this keyboard and use it for typing and gaming. I also use the strafe with silent reds at the office mostly for typing. My cube mates have not yelled at me yet. Aluminum body on this feels great and the wrist pad is comfortable for extended use! No fatigue at all!

Tldr: highly recommended!

Ive seen "switch samples" on Amazon where they sell a string of different cherry switches on the same device that functions like a keyboard so you can try different ones. I don't have a link for you though. Just remember seeing them

I personally love cherry mx browns for typing as they still have a slight tactile feedback and aren't as loud as cherry blues. I typed plenty of college essays the past 3 years with my k70 and I haven't had any complaints yet. It's the best of both worlds to be honest. Currently debating on getting this one as I spilled Gatorade on my k70 and the keys are all sticky despite the amount of cleaning I've done. But to each their own!

i prefer the blue switches for the most tactile feedback. i dont think its worth it to switch keyboards if you are going to get the same type of switches

How does this compare to the Hyperx Alloy Elite RGB? This seems similar to the Strafe, on which I felt the keys were too close together. This seems to have good expert/site reviews but couldn't find much on the Hyperx Alloy Elite RGB.
