Dewalt DCW600B Cordless 20V Router - $120 + S/H $119

Coastal Tool is selling the Dewalt cordless router (DCW600b) for $119 + S/H. No promo code or coupon required, simply add to cart and checkout.

Haven't been tracking it for that long so not sure if this is the best price its offered at but all other Dewalt authorized dealers have it listed at $180 whenever I've seen it so this is a pretty steep discount. And since Coastal Tool is listed as an authorized dealer on Dewalt's site the full manufacturer warranty should be in effect.

[EDIT] - EXPIRED
Price was an error and has now been corrected to $169.00 + S/H

Thx for the post. Had my eye on this as my Bosch is a bit large at times, but $180 was just too much already having a router. $120 is a deal and it'll be nice to have the smaller size without a cord.
I am following a couple professional framers on Instagram that test tools for magazines and websites. They have posted races for cutting out windows on half inch plywood and this router is faster than the corded model from Bosch.

Interesting. It really depends on rpm and how sharp your bit is, but maybe they can move this one quicker. I doubt this guy will motor through some hard maple like my Bosch can.

The product page says free shipping on this item and then they charge you shipping at checkout. Still a good deal but wtf?

Does this even include the battery to operate it? Looks like a bare tool...
Model number ends in B. Like all other DeWalt tools, B = bare tool. Bring your own battery.

Doesn't feel like a very slick deal if you have to buy an $80 battery to operate it...
Many people interested in a Dewalt tool such as this have many of the batteries. For example, there was a nice deal for $130 for the 12" Dewalt Chainsaw that came with a 4ah battery and charger. Most people aren't going to need to run a chainsaw and their router at the same time. I mean this with only modest sarcasm. $100-$150 is pretty much the upper end pricewise of the midrange (and the corded version of this is quite highly rated and costs about $120++).

If you want to start dancing with something like a Festool you're looking at $400-$600. Usually those are more of the interest of people that live and die by their tools, or are "rich dentists" as my uncle would call them...

yeah for the first 20 seconds on a fresh battery im sure its great.

after that not so much.

This would be cool with a cord adapter attachment to use it as a corded router.

lol does it work for a couple minutes before down powering itself due to lack of battery power?

These are very power hungry tools I cant imagine strapping a little batteryto one is a good idea, at all, lol.

beyond little diy projects i wouldn't use this, it aint gonna help you build anything thats for sure.

Obviously you must have real world experience with this🙄. I have a dozen different 20v dewalt tools including the chainsaw, jigsaw and brad nailer. With a 5ah battery you can go most of the day with those tools and with the 6ah flex volt easily a full day. I'm sure this router will be fine with those batteries. Dewalt isn't in the business of making tools that run for minutes when they are relied on by most trades. This is a good price for a great tool.

He really doesn't understand the tool ecosystem. You pick one and have ten batteries of the same brand. Obviously doesn't work with tools much
