This is the 2017 model of this HDTV. Cnet gives a score of 8.6/10, head on over to CNet for a full-in depth review. Note, that this model is tuner-free. If you use an external antenna to watch local over-the-air broadcast TV signals, a TV tuner is required (sold separately).

FYI this is a 2017 model. No Tuner, decent HDR brightness levels.

I bought this TV from Sams in 2017 for like $540.

PQ is great and I use it for gaming mostly.
No tuner; but I dont use over the air channels; havent for decades
Remote is the worst remote Ive ever used; its tiny and very sensitive. You cant pick it up without it changing inputs etc.
has a cool phone app remote
only has one 4k/HDR HDMI port 2.0, the rest are 1080p HDMI 1.3 ports. This will suck in the future.
The builtin SmartApps suck but I havent messed with them much, not as good as say a Roku.
There are probably better TV deals, no sense in buying a crippled 2017 model. But I dont regret this purchase one bit for $540 two years ago. The crippled HDMI ports alone would suck if you plan on connecting multiple 4k/HDR devices to it.

Also note the 2017 M series only has hdmi 2.0 on input 1. All inputs put out 4k but only input 1 puts out HDR /DV

Good to know. I've had the 2017 model for the past 2 years and I love it otherwise. I haven't had a chance to use HDR on anything but the built in Chromecast

FYI that the 65" is a D series, not an M series like this one.

It appears it might be cheaper in stores. Locally it shows $139.00 with limited stock.

Check Brickseek - YMMV

I have this same model. The only thing I don't love about it is the banding visible on vertical panning shots with sold colors. Really visible on the show Victoria with the smokey backgrounds they use. And the blotchyness from the small number of zones for their panel. Otherwise it looks fantastic. This is a good price.
