Zero ultrawide monitors. What's up with that, BenQ?

I've been using the mh530fhd for about a month and love it. However, at this price point, I'm not sure I'd go refurbished. This model has been as low as $408 brand new at reputable sellers, and I was able to find one last week brand new on Ebay for $399.60, which I used to Price Rewind from the $433 I paid. Brand new includes a 3 yr warranty and 2k hour bulb warranty. My only complaint with the projector is the Audio aux output. It's basically useless, and you're much better off running the HDMI cable through an AV receiver to handle the AV transmissions. I dont have AV receiver with HDMI ports, so my Xbox handles the HDMI, then send the audio to the receiver (via optical audio) and then HDMI to projector. If you planned to plug a smart dongle directly into the Projector, this one may not be the best for you with the limited audio-out options.
Thanks for your reply. What do you mean by the aux output is useless? I planned on using that to connect some computer speakers. Also, how's it for Xbox gaming? TIA.

It's actually full 4k, the 0.47" DMD 1080p x 4 pixel shift process produces the full amount of 8.3 million pixels to throw out. The Epsons (HC 4000/4010, 5040ub/5050ub) are only 1080p x 2 so they only throw out 4.15 million pixels by comparison, so half 4k.

A lot of people will say it's "Cheating" to pixel shift and call it 4k, in the end, at normal seating distance, you're really not going to notice any real sharpness difference in pixel shifted 4k vs. native 4k, they both end up throwing the same number of pixels on the screen and are extremely difficult to tell any sharpness differences in unless you are very uncomfortably close to the screen to notice very small imperfections.
Ah, even better! I wish I just needed a real reason to replace my current mh530fhd with this! I do have concerns with the placement and lower lumen output for the ht2550.

What are some thoughts on these monitors for gaming? Thanks.
I have been monitoring the prices on 24 inch 144, 1ms monitors. The prices for these refurbished ones are about equal or higher than the monitors I am monitoring. Not a good deal for the gaming monitors at all for me.

If you're used to a 530 I would go the TK800 route. Throw distance isn't that different between the 2, TK800 would maybe need to be back about a foot or so further to create similar image assuming you're 120" or less.

What brands are you looking at for equal or better prices? I'm looking for a 24/27"

-Thanks

That's what I was thinking as well! I was just thinking the color accuracy for the ht2250 might be a bit better and would feel like more of an upgrade to my current projector, along with less rainbow effect.

Tempting to get either of the projectors. Ht2550 for better image quality or tk800 for better input lag. I plan to game on it but not frequently. Likely FF14 and Forza Horizon 4

Sales tax in NY... Lame.. I hate NY
But smoking deal otherwise. Wish my basement project was further along I'd jump on the 2550.

The sound quality is greatly reduced, so if you have a decent surround system, you are likely to notice a major drop off in audio quality if you use the audio out aux (headphone jack). It may not be as noticable with computer speakers, but you might find the volume level to be lower than other sources. I've also heard of some people buying an Audio splitter that connects to the HDMI cord so that you can get a better quality audio directly from the HDMI cord. A google search on Sound issues for this unit should give you some ideas. Xbox runs great on it. I see feel no noticable lag playing Black Ops or other FPS's.

I have a W1070 and want to upgrade to 4k. Should I wait for the HT3550 to go on sale or get the HT2550? Thank you
