I've had Kohl's Cash stolen from my account every single time it was deposited. I stopped shopping at Kohl's because of it, until they fix their security.

The account was not compromised at my end. Changed passwords, everything. I still get a series of password reset emails, then the credit is gone. And it happens within a day of getting the cash.

Others have reported it, too. Looks like Kohl's either has a giant security flaw, or else an employee is abusing access.

Anyhow, done with them.

Yes, I had this issue as well, not stolen k-"cash", but account reset requests on the regular, changed my email with them and all "hacking" attempts stopped. I believe the kohls emails and accounts were somehow leaked, or something occurred. In any case, always best to check haveibeenpwned.com to see if you need to change things up.

agreed on the security. And then, their rebate processing is one of the worst. They would not even use their own sales receipts. Thieves.

I don't know when you tried a Kohl's rebate last. This maybe was the case about 6yrs ago, but it has long been improved. Even when I had receipt issues, they gave me a store credit in the amount of the rebate without even blinking.

Memory's hazy but I think I saw it on SD first. Only after that did I keep an eye on Kohl's after the next purchase. Sure enough, series of reset emails and then the cash is gone.

I've had my info leaked a bunch of times but the Kohl's password is unique. And I use a competent password manager too.

There was an exploit some time ago where an Amazon password could be reset over the phone, if you had the last few digits of any card on the account. First you had to exhaust all the automated reset attempts. Something similar might be at work here, where the password reset emails are a symptom but not the actual problem.

Great. Needed the coffee maker. Just broke (dropped) the carafe on this one. Ordered 2 (one backup) and a kettle for work.

If you order separately (15% promo notwithstanding), you could get multiple in store pickup offers.

Same happened to me twice. Lost $45 during Thanksgiving. Not sure how they do it. In my case, I added the Kohls Cash to my online account and it was used within 2 days. While the store checked on the usage, they told me that it was used in a store near LA whereas I live in Missouri. Luckily the store manager issued a $45 credit to compensate. But they didn't bother about their system being compromised or abused.
