How is it NOT helpful? It's a stock checking link so people can look for price and quantity at their local stores, which was NOT in the OP of the thread. There's ONE store 40 miles away from me showing OUT OF STOCK but the rest have between 4-6 with some having TEN and one store 35 miles away having TWENTY.

So this is definitely not your usual super ultra YMMV deal where stuff is already very low in stock and hard to find.

He provided the Brickseek link, which on deals like these should always be included in the OP.

If you were commenting on him saying how many are near him, its pretty common to report that. Doesn't bother me.

As for this deal I would think a further $20 - $50 drop would make it hot. On the regulare website you can get it for $230.

Just bought the D60 F3 from the other thread, It is very different from the RTING review of the larger D65.

DO NOT expect the same performance/panel from the Rting review.

It's not nearly as bright, measures 260nit vs 320nit on rting. The contrast is also much lower 4500:1 vs rting 5400:1. The sRGB gamut clamp is also too deep, which means it cuts into the red and greens a little too much, leaving a less saturated image..

444 does work, Overall, I wouldn't recommend this series..

This D43 model might be better than the D60 or it could be worse.. Report back if you guys end up measuring it.

D series is a pretty basic tv anyway you look at it. Until you step up to the M series you will only have a basic TV.

Good, I am looking for a deal on a mid level 65" TV. I would love to find a 65" Sony 900 series under $1000. Or a Sony 65" 850 series under $700. I have seen a Samsung 65" 8000 series for $900, but I hope it will drop more.

That Sony 65" 900 series is a great TV. I have not seen any stores clear it out for under $1000. Probably they will, sometime in the summer, which is their their peak TV clearance season (before the back-to-school sale) when they refresh all stock with new TVs. I will post it as soon as I see it goes under $1000 from the Walmart API Big Grin

This is around the time of year when I got my Samsung 43" smart TV a couple of years ago for $100. It was only $100 (and OOS) at my closest store though as the rest wanted $400 for it. With a little buy/return/re-buy magic I got the $100 price same day.LMAO

FYI: There's also a Sharp 32" Smart TV on clearance at the moment too. It's $64 at most stores.
