No discount here and I have both types of credit cards through Bestbuy. It must be for a newly signed up card holder or OP has a discount (birthday or card member appreciation) that's targeted.

Either way, should change your description in the original post.

I trust Suryasis (who is the most prolific poster of PC deals) and Notebookcheck (the best laptop review site) over other people in this thread. The card may only be a few days old, but the benchmarks speak for themselves, as it is not even a close fight.
https://www.notebookcheck.net/GeForce-GTX-1060-Laptop-vs-GeForce-GTX-1660-Ti-Max-Q_7362_9832.247598.0.html

What is obvious to me is that the people arguing all own 1060 laptops, and feel the need to justify their purchase by denigrating this deal. This laptop is thinner, lighter, cooler, has better battery life while gaming, and faster than your 1060 laptop. It also has a better display than most. All of these reasons are why it is also more expensive than 1060 laptop.

Suryasis, please don't feed the trolls. If the pricing is correct, this seems like a great deal.

That is exactly my point. All I have said are actually based on the small volume of data available here. But these people simply posting their opinion without a single link or reviews to back their point and want their word to be taken as Word of God. Just go through the posts and you will find there is not a single link these people posted here. Instead ranting all the time like, I feel it cannot match 1060, Nvidia lied to us earlier, and some pretty baseless comparison like comparing the TDP to prove their point, without realizing that TDP values for two different generation cards cannot be directly compared for performance metrics as the newer generation normally have better optimization for power and better architecture.

Now I remember when you mentioned the GTX 1060. There are bunch of trolls here who purchased the Overpowered 15 and 17 laptop deals coming with GTX 1060 and after than they go to every laptop thread and try to prove that OP Laptop is better. When I posted a Dell G5 deal with RTX 2060, they were trolling over there as well, trying to prove that OP is better because of having 144 Hz.....and never accepting that the huge performance advantage of RTX 2060 over their GTX 1060. GTX 1060 is not gonna push 144 Hz unless you are paying at 720p in low setting with newer titles
All I can say that they are Over-Troll.

Now, regarding the Best Buy offer, if anybody else with BestBuy Credit card can check this out? It is showing as my Best Buy Offer and valid from March 24 to April 30.

OP, is your birthday in April? There's a 10% off offer as a birthday reward that might be the discount you are seeing. I have that on my account, but otherwise am not seeing any special BB CC discount for this (like others I went all the way to the final screen of checkout, using my BB CC).
Ha, I wondered the same thing because this is what I see. Just the birthday 10% offer, but nothing specific to the BB card. Think this might be a mixup.

Could you please help me with my question? May I add 8gb ram stick to 16gb stick to get dual channel? Both will be the same brand, type and speed, with only difference in size. Thanks. Much appreciated
Technically yes, it should work just fine, though it's usually not preferred.

Définitily want this with a 9750h under $1000z that would be sweet spot. Waiting game now
^ yup this

Ryzen 7 3750H =/= Zen 2, its based off Zen+ so performance-wise its probably like a Ryzen 5 2500X desktop which is 4/8.

So even an Intel i5 9300H or 9400H both 4/8 will still be faster ipc-wise and probably hit the same price point.

An i7 9750H can already be seen at $1,400ish-$1,500ish range and thats a higher clocked 6/12.

What are you even talking about? You back up your "it is not even a close fight" with a comparison that literally has zero benches associated with it? At the very most edge case, this laptop might occasionally trade blows with the standard 8750H/1060, but there's no actual evidence of any of your claims. 8750H is a far superior cpu and the 1660 ti max-q (in anyone's realistic expectations) is roughly equal to a 1060. As far as battery, coolness, etc., you're just pulling things out of your ass considering you don't even know what laptop you're comparing it to, specifically.

Suryasis started off trying to sell this laptop in this thread by saying it was comparable to RTX 2060, posting speculation pages from notebookcheck, not even realizing the facts of his own post. You can trust that all you want, but in the tech communities I frequent, that loses a lot of credibility.

This is NOT a good deal, especially considering that the discount can't be reproduced by anyone. But I'm sure glad Suryasis was able to get some free rep for providing nothing yet again. 32 thumbs up for something other people couldn't even farking buy at the same price that wasn't even a good deal to begin with... seems legit.

Is this a Suryasis alt account?

Don't compare me to whoever you think "trolled" you before. Providing you with due criticism isn't trolling. This thread was a waste of time for anyone that was legitimately looking for a deal on this laptop.

Criticism should be based on some points, not pure speculation based on someone's personal opinion. Tech discussion is not a subjective matter...here you need to provide valid information to prove your point. Check your posts again and see if you have provided a single proof in the whole thread.

Yet you posted a thread on a "deal" that was literally not reproducable by anyone. I also later came to find out that this was a duplicate post as someone had already created a thread linking prices for this laptop on Newegg/Amazon/Bestbuy far before you did, and the laptop could actually bought for their advertised prices.

And was never able to post those links in this thread....or report this as duplicate. I know your type....
