Just received word about 40 minutes from posting this and stopped by my local in Bay Area, CA. Looks like they have about 30's on hand in select warehouses.

If you're in the Bay Area, there's stock in Hayward, Redwood City, South SF (i think SFO), Almaden, and Automation.

Since this was posted at 10am and it's almost 3pm, there's no way it isn't sold out by now. People will hear about it hella quickly.

It's rare in the US but quite common across bars in Asia. No need to be afraid of it disappearing or going extinct.
Actually yes. Be very afraid. Suntory announced they are doing away with age statements (12 year, 15 year, 18 year) due to the mass popularity ans low supply. The future Yamizakis will be either single malt no age or blended no age. So once it is gone. It's gone. The Japanese stick to what they say alot of the time and mean it. Thus the rarity of the price and supply.

Saw this during Christmas in Sacramento, no idea it was such a good deal. Will need to swing by and pick up a bottle to keep on hand.

Taiwanese is very into Japanese Whiskey. The price is higher than US.
Next time, you should try UK or other Europeans countries. They are not that into Japanese whiskey.
I meant at the duty frees at the airport

Too bad Texas doesn't let Costco run their own liquor store.
Yeah there's a proposed bill to end that. Those liquor stores attached to Costco are a total joke. Terrible selection and high prices.

When I travel, I go into some Costco stores that actually sell liquor in the store. It's incredible. Even the Kirkland-branded liquor is usually excellent.

It's the same here in TN. The issue is that grocery stores can't sell liquor here and Costco is considered a grocery store. It will eventually change. They recently passed a law here to allow grocery stores to sell wine.

Similar to Kentucky, our whiskey distillers happen to be in dry counties if that makes any sense.
