What brands/styles would you guys recommend for someone new to cigars?
Try some Rocky Patel Decade's and some La Gloria Cubana Serie R Naturals. The E.P. Carrillo Encore is Cigar Aficionado's cigar of the year, and is very good also. Can be hard to find, though. I like the Robusto sizes, but that a personal call.

Deal is working for me now. It was not in stock yesterday morning, though. Thanks OP.

Perdomo 10th Anni. Champagne, Padrons, Oliva Serie O,G, & V, nub Connecticut, Punch rare corojo.

If you're coming from sweet tips you can try Acid kuba kuba or a fatbottom.

Best thing to do is find a local shop. Get a couple recommendations, and if you like something let them know and they can recommend new sticks to try

The only decent stick is the A. Flores. Lighter is crap. I'd rather spend 10 bucks on a couple of good sticks. But if you are new and wanna try cigars, not a bad deal.
Here you go. Awesome. Price is excellent for these. 5 packs available for slightly more per stick.

Don't smoke. It hasn't been rebellious and cool since the 50's. It doesn't make a person cultured and interesting, it makes them an aromatic land mine and a social pariah with an apparent death wish.

They don't taste good. The taste is given a positive psychological association due to the dopamine released as a result of the chemical and psychological dependence that's formed over time. They actually taste like what they actually are, which is a rapidly oxidizing stick of dried (usually chemically riddled) biomass that releases nothing but heat and slow suffocation and eventual cancerous misery. If that is the standard of taste and elegance, perhaps someone should bottle car exhaust with touch of nicotine end enter the niche vape market.

They aren't a good deal, regardless of price. Even when tobacco is discounted in any form, you should be saving 10 times the amount of the purchase for future chemo treatments and/or funeral arrangements, making any perceived savings effectively null.

All tobacco is, is a dangerous modality to get a nicotine high. Nothing more.

I'm sure I'll receive a litany of poorly written and even more poorly reasoned vitreous responses for this, but as a student that has devoted himself to medicine and life, that has witnessed too many times how this habit ravages families, lives, and human potential, I won't forgo the opportunity to defile such a scourge to the planet at any and every opportunity.
I won't say you're wrong. Smoke (inhaled in particular) is very bad for the body. But as far as smoking goes, an occasional cigar (not inhaled) is not anywhere near as bad as daily cigarette smoking. Still, your point is taken seriously, and I appreciate your time in trying to warn people.

$10 won't break the bank, but the sticks are "meh" and I think the lighter is the P. Sachet brand.

...say the lighter brand name aloud with a hard "T" sound at the end, if you get my drift.

I am smoking the Perdomo now. I'm not saying that is my favorite smoke but if I had paid $6-7 for it I wouldn't have been disappointed. Thx OP

These came in yesterday for me, like others have said this is a good deal I'd have no issues spending $5 for each of these cigars at a shop. The lighter is fine cutter is fine as well, worth a buck or two each independently.
