20% GoDaddy Domain Renewal Discount

You can get a 20% discount off of your domain renewal by pretending to transfer it. Namesilo is what I told them I was considering transferring to (they do offer competitive renewal costs that are around $9 annually). When you tell them you're going to transfer, an offer pops up and says if you renew now with godaddy, they will take 20% off. I clicked that option and couldn't figure out how to automatically apply the 20% off my shopping cart. I called and told them this system problem (not being able to apply the 20% off) and they applied it while I was on the phone and charged my credit card with the discount applied.

Go to domain list, click on settings, then go to the bottom of page and select "transfer domain away from godaddy." Enter where you want to go and it will popup the offer to save 20% to stay with godaddy.

There are scarce discount codes that work on domain renewals. I hope this simple process helps.

Founded in 1997, more than 17 million people use GoDaddy around the world, the company manages over 73 million domain names. This makes them the world's largest domain name registrar. This discount may be relevant to those people.

Much cheaper options that come with free domain privacy. I ditched these over priced asshats some years ago.

Instead of pretending to transfer to namesilo you should actually do it and save yourself future renewal troubles. Smilie

Always $8.99 for renewals and you can also get a dollar off your first domain with them with a coupon like "buckoffdomain"

Very happy with namesilo. Not the cheapest but fair price. Bulk discounts for "club" members.
