Wow, I can't believe these are usually so expensive. Even this seems a bit steep for such a simple piece. I think this is one part I might go off-brand with. You can get multi-color packs for a few bucks per baseplate at this size.

As someone who has built a lego wall and lego table for my kids, my purchase price point for these plates was sub $4, but that was when purchased as a multi pack.

Can get the non-lego type of these on the reg on ebay or amazon for $3-4 each in multi-packs. Color is slightly different green so if planning a large build you want to order from the same "Brand". Knock off brands equally as good as the lego brand quality when it comes to base plates.
