These are great headphones. I like them precisely because they are not isolating, important feature if you are using them outside.

I've been using these headphones for 10+ years now. No other brand sits comfortably in my ears like these do. I've gone through maybe like 3 pairs already.

My current 4 year old set that I use daily had the mic go bad, so I immediately ordered a new set from Amazon. I got the new earbuds, plugged them in, and went for a run. Non-stop rattling/clicking the whole run in the left bud. I found I could wiggle the cable near the connection to the bud, and it clicks, so the movement of running causes a non-stop click. Literally unusable.

I go back to amazon for a replacement. They send me another new set... and it does EXACTLY THE SAME THING!

With both earbuds in hand, I go to the Bose store and explain. They've never heard of this issue, so it's a crazy lottery-winning fluke that I got 2 pairs back to back that do the same thing. I'm going to try and return the latest new pair to bose instead of Amazon to see if maybe I get a later revision or something...

Just a small story to entertain y'all this morning. Have a good one!

Buy the StayHear+ Sport eartips. They will make a huge difference. Help seals in the sound and really helps with bass.

bought them a few months ago for about the same price. comfortable fit but lets in too much background sound. in other words, very little noise isolation. returned them.

Yup, great for when you have to be aware of surroundings. Not so much on a flight.

I use these at work when I need to hear if somebody says my name. These aren't for people who expect to have their music on a low volume and not be able to hear what is happening around them.

From my experience Bose wired headphones have always sounded beautiful. However, something about their wiring or hardware is terrible because I've always had one side give out after about 4-6 months. Their warranty is 3 years, but with the hassle of one earphone breaking and having to replace it the hassle just got to be too much for me. I was on my 4th pair when I just gave up after it broke again. My pair wasn't the same model as this current one, but I see reviews on amazon saying they still have the same problem with wiring.
