Is there a use case for micro-usb to usb-c ? Really cant think of any reason for that.

if you had a usb-c charger and an old micro-usb phone that you wanted to charge?
I was wondering the same thing. These aren't terribly useful cables as far as I can tell. Especially so since they're only 6 inches long.

Yep, or more likely a computer with a USB-C port you want to connect a Micro-USB device to without a dongle. The 0.5 foot size works well for that on laptops.

I've used them to charge MicroUSB devices from a phone with a USB-C connector. They're also useful for connecting MicroUSB accessories to phones (Xbox controller connected to your phone running android and the Steam Link Beta, for example). Neither of those use cases is great with a 6" length, though.

Is there a free shipping code?
Same question. I just wanted 1 white braided cable to match my Ducky keyboard, but it's $3 to ship a .38 cable...

Can anyone please explain why all the Type-C to USB 2.0 cables? Is it that much more expensive to ensure it gets 3.0 speeds in a cable when the controllers are on either ends?
Beyond the extra wires, you can tell just by the micro plug, usb 3.0 is a double micro "B", no space to double inside the plug, so they did two plugs side by side.

Its not just wires, type C tends to have a circuit to indicate charge speed support so you don't fry things

maybe the usb 2.0 conversion versions omit all this because they are limited by port.

You are all welcome. I just received 7 cables from Amazon yesterday. As is the law of all sales, once I purchase something, it gets discounted elsewhere. Behold my generosity T.T

Use these frequently at work. Micro USB on network switches as console ports to my Macbook pro which is only USB-C

Yeah, shipping kills this deal.

$10 shipping for my $12 order made me just back out and rethink how I'm going to organize my cables.

Transfer data between new and old phones. Charging or transfering data with old phones and newer MacBook, chromebook or PC with USB port only, etc. My pixel book only has usb-c ports

These are crap cables; don't be fooled by the braided texture that implies durability. Your data rates are dribbles through these things too. And Monoprice customer service stinks. Stay away.

I have about 20 of these cables. I avoid using them, as they suck.

Great, sturdy cable, but the connectors fits loose, and doesn't really bend.

I have them as backup-backup, cables.
