Best deal running at the moment but don't forget this doesn't come with keyboard cover which will cost you $150 and a active pen for about $50, so really it's more like $900 to use it like a laptop Smilie

The covers are $100 on Amazon brand new, but yes you'll definitely want to pick one up with this computer!

Better deal when it was on sale at Costco, includes keyboard + pen and also extended warranty

Thank you for the post, so far best deal on line. They do price matching with Amazon so you can get the keyboard for 100 too.

Not a good machine. Battery life is terrible and non replaceable as is everything else inside. Charger gets wickedly hot and magnet constantly disconnects. The kickstand breaks easily, which can also punch through front thus shattering screen. Don't buy Microsoft Surface computers they are throw away junk once battery rapidly depletes or kickstand breaks after two years of use.

Never happened to me. I get amazing battery life. I actually push my base model surface pro 6 to it's limits by gaming and even though it's fanless it never gets hot. I also find the idea if the kickstand breaking through the front comical. It's a great device with a premium design. Lightweight and very portable. I'm not trying to persuade you to buy but I just thought you should know my experience.

Yes the magnet that attaches the charger to the computer disconnects very easily. It's pretty annoying when you barely touch the cord and it un- hooks. As far as battery life it's very well-known about the batteries in these things when they're new the batteries work great but deplete very fast and like I said you cannot replace it, it's pretty much a useless piece of trash once the battery wears out in these after a couple of years use.

Best Buy won't price match in Northern California(Roseville), they are out of the bundle with keyboard, they won't discount a non bundle without keyboard to match the price, they won't make a bundle from a retail keyboard to match their bundle, and they won't sell their bundle floor model. Best Buy just has no interest in selling surfaces????!?!?

I don't see why they wouldn't, except corporate won't let the staff do something like that. Especially if it's OOS and they can't order it or they can't sell me the floor model. I was just trying to make a deal is all. It's very strange to me.

Where can I get an active pen for $50? I was going to get the replacement tips for a busted pen but a new pen would be nice.

because the floor employees don't give a fark about making a sale to you because they have no investment in it.

the manager might but his hands are probably tied by corporate so he also doesn't care. so not strange at all. retail stores are not mom and pop stores, they can't do whatever they want. trying to haggle like that is trashy anyways
