you will see galaxy 10 in august 5g so prices will drop more

four variants of the Note 10 will be available; one model in each size would tout 5G capabilities while the other would be limited to 4G speeds.

You think 5g is even with getting in a phone. I guess if you keep your phone for 3 years it would be. I like to try and upgrade just about every year.

Upgrading every year isn't necessary. The odds that you'd notice the difference is low, unless you're using poorly coded apps. But more importantly, the average Note user never touches the pen. Crazy, right?

I generally switch brands every so often. Had lg then went to essential to pixel 2xl and now on s10e. I like change. All have their advantages. Once I saw galaxy was coming out with a flat screen I jumped on it.

I agree about the pen. 4 people in my family have not 8 and probably don't even know there is a pen. The funny thing is they could use a Moto g6 and not notice a difference for what they do lol.

These are dropping like a rock in new condition on Swappa. My news feed blasts a new story daily about the upcoming Note 10 and what a kickarse phone it will be. Might want to wait or hope they do a $550 trade in like they did with the Galaxy S10 release.

As to 5G, no way would I let that dictate what phone I buy. The range is like 2000 feet from antenna and it doesn't penetrate buildings. 5G definitely won't be for everyone.

I have a Note 9 and I like it but I wouldn't buy anywhere near at this price. I'd wait for a OnePlus or 5g to come out. A wide 5g release should make 4g phone prices drop quickly. Take that as you will.

That's too generic and some of it sensationalist.
Some companies will use much higher frequencies and the health effects are unknown. They could also use those higher frequencies of 5G, so it's not important if it's 4 or 5. It's whatever the operator is using.

This is on my short list, but I think $600 is the sweet spot for me. I think we'll see it drop at least that low by the end of summer. I can wait that long for $140.

That's just FUD. It's non-ionizing. There's been scare-mongering about wireless signals since their first use, but there's never been any empirical evidence to support it. You probably get a more meaningful dose of radiation eating a banana or standing in front of the microwave counting the seconds between pops on your popcorn. You definitely get a larger dose from one plane flight than you do from a year of carrying a phone with all the wireless antennas (4G, WiFi, & Bluetooth) turned on.

I was also looking at the new galaxy A50 and A70 series. They look promising.
I just cant fathom spending 800-1000 for a phone
