PSA: Directv NOW early adopters

If you were an early adopter, and had a live a little, go big, just right etc plan at the "good prices" and canceled, check your email! Search back for the cancelation email and note that it says "you can come back to this plan at any time".

After trying to cut costs on a money saving trip recently, we freed up enough money to look into a streaming tv service(I work 84 hour weeks, but we strictly live off of 40hrs of pay/week).

After seeing this email I had a convo with the support team via chat. Through being courteous, building rapport, and just treating the outsourced CS reps nice, I landed my old plan and price back. EVEN AFTER the 4/12/19 $10 price hike. I have the go big, and hbo for $40 a month!!

Worth looking into. Just be nice, polite, look for that old cancellation email with verbiage that is similar to mine. If the first rep doesn't do well, onto the next one!! If not, rinse and repeat.

The only email I get from DirectV is to go back and pay for the plus or max package and it looks like this:

YOUR SERVICE IS NOW CANCELED.We're sorry to see you go, but if you change your mind you can restart your account and pick up a DIRECTV NOW PLUS or MAX package, which both include HBO®.

This may be YMMV for sure. I signed up when directv first came out with the service, and canceled when the plan I had was still available. This is mostly targeted towards the OG plans, and if you had one of those it couldn't hurt to give it a shot in the customer service chat - they lost ALOT of customers this year and are wanting to bring people back. Several reddit posts as well in regards to this.

Don't waste your time , they mirrored dtv plans and pricing with no discounts , insane pricing and they just quietly removed the nfl channel , and nope no discount for that.
