That's my experience. Got hosed with my G27 not working with the PS4, so I got a Thrustmaster. Motor started smoking right at the one year mark with minimal use. Since I was a few days past warranty window, Thrustmaster declined to cover it under warranty. Filed a "warranty extension" claim with Discover and they reimbursed me (luckily).
