I have these and they are v-e-r-y fragile. Nice, but fragile. If you are careful, these will be great for Lattes/etc. However, for something more durable consider DeLonghi or JoyJolt...

I have 6 of these, never broken 1. They are far more durable, and have better heat retention, than other brands. I use them daily, for aeropress among other items, and never a problem

I'll say, I also have some of others brands, that have broke. And breaking these leaves shattered glass in as many tiny fragments as possibly unimaginable.

Reading the reviews on these glasses is like a class on cognitive dissonance

If the reviewer thinks that it is that fragile why didn't he rate it 1 star or something. Looks like it's just a joke.

Use your common sense and treat it differently than your more durable mugs or glasses. I always use a coaster when pouring boiling/icing liquid so that the outside doesn't have a large temperature difference with the inside. So far, I've broke 1 though, it slipped from my hands when washing 😂

I've had these exact glasses for a couple years and another set from 2013. They're not that fragile.

I pretty much only use them for hot coffee (and occasionally egg nog), so I've only put ice in the a few times and I did it by hand because it's not that hard to open up the freezer (I think Bodum says not to use with an ice dispenser because they're hand blown and not the same thickness everywhere).

I don't bother hand washing them, they go on the top rack with other glasses and bowls and stuff.

I mainly use an AeroPress with these, which takes a fair amount of pressure, and I have broken one yet. Only way I've found to break one is dropping it on asphalt...

I have two sizes of these. The high heat drying in my dishwasher was a problem, they leak in between the glass. Never had a problem with breakage. I hand wash mine now.

I've had a set of most of these sizes (9, 12, 15, 21oz) for about 11 years, and I have yet to break a single one. I'm also an adult that takes care of his things in a household without children though.

I only pull these out to use for hot or cold slow sipping drinks, fancy dinner parties, and the like, so they're not daily drivers.

They do go on the top rack of the dishwasher without any trouble, but I also take care to fill the dishwasher in a way that nothing can tip over or rattle against them. Never had an issue, but I don't use the heated dry function. The hot water is enough to evaporate off by the time I need more dishes.

In the end, I can't really comment on the durability of the glasses because I'm probably more careful than most people with all of my things. If you live the kind of lifestyle in which you take good care of your things, then I can heartily offer my recommendation for these.

It may be worth noting that in 2008, I purchased four pairs of these glasses at the same price, but it was during a 4-for-3 promotion where I got one pair free. So this is not quite as good of a deal as that, but yadda yadda inflation blah blah...
