$259 at Amaxon for the regular burst, $299 at Guitar Center for the spruce top.

Not a solid top!! all the 235E have a laminated top.

TUSQ nut, so they didn't skimp everywhere.

1.69" nut width, with a 25.3" scale.

Fishman® electronics

Nato neck (tho the Fender site refers to it as "mahogany" Wiki says its not https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nato_wood)

No bag/case

Good reviews on Adorama, Amazon, GC

$99 seems like a deal if you are down for a purple Fender.

why would you not get a rebate? it doesn't even need a upc cutout.

this is mail in rebate, a very different beast. i havent seen anyone having 1 issue with these in 2-3 years. except for occasional delayed payment, which is due to our processor, not any denial. but, those can be rectified, even as late as 2 years... if that's the case

Slickdeals Rebates? HAHAHAHAHAHA

Yeah Right!

Wouldn't do it even if it were free. Don't want slickdeals to know what i'm buying and from which merchant, much less my mailing address!

Bought a guitar last month from Adorama with a Slick Deals rebate. Followed instructions. I was paranoid about the adblock and disabled it altogether. Here's the timeline.
  • 4/4 bought guitar
  • 4/10 mailed the invoice/rebate form with tracking
  • 4/16 delivered
  • 4/19 Slick Deals confirms receipt of the rebate
  • 4/20 Slick deals approves rebate
Now I just have to wait for it to come in. Whether or not it comes in, I'll have to wait and see. Snoring2

I bought this guitar around Christmas for my son to learn on. The finish and construction is very nice, and well worth the $189 I paid for it. He loves it, and takes great pride in it. He is in 4th grade and takes it to school twice a week in a soft gig bag I bought him for it and receives private lessons from his music instructor.

The Fender Paramount? I'm waiting on the same rebate. Got the approval email a couple of weeks ago.

Yup. How'd you like the guitar? It's absolutely beautiful and sounds amazing. I'm afraid to play it. To think that that one was $160 more than this makes this seem like an okay deal.

Come on now. You know the SD rebates are slathered all over these boards as being hit or miss. Unfortunately mostly miss and people are pissed. You gotta get diss. Smilie

It is a beautiful guitar. The sound is better than my old Yamaha FX, but I also think it needs to be setup properly . The neck seems fine, but the saddle seems a little high which is causing the action to be high.

Because even for online rebates you can't check if a rebate went through for two months (45 business days), while cashback sites usually show you that a shopping trip was successful in a few minutes. So I'd be ready to 50% success with a SD mail rebate
