I've got one of these.

RAM can be upgraded to 32GB, SSD can be replaced too.

Terrible for Linux. The BIOS is full of problems that have to be worked around.

USB C Charging works great. It comes with a 45 Watt Dell "barrel connector" charger, but you can also charge it with USB C.

Looks like this is part of an AMD wide sale that BB is having.

I'm wondering if this 13.3" Dell is a better deal. Similar laptop but it's $100 more at $599, but has Ryzen 7, 12GB RAM, AMD Radeon RX Vega 10, 256 GB SSD.

I got one of these ryzen 2500u laptops and even though amd recently started working on providing drivers directly, the igpu drivers still have tons of problems. I get random freezes can only be recovered by force exiting the programs and literally just lost my last word document due to one of these freezes. Chrome tends to crash frequently unless you disable hardware acceleration too. I hope all these get fixed soon or these amd mobile cpus will leave a bad name for amd

Does it have two or just one RAM slots?

I'd like to know this, too. Ryzen-related? Dell-related? Or specific to this model?

If you plan on playing computer games, any modern ones, this would be the better option with the Vega 10. It can play most newer games on low to medium settings. Overall I think it is the better option at $100 more. Only weird thing is the RAM configuration, I am guessing one 8 Gig and one 4 Gig stick but I am not sure. Would want that to be two 8 gigs to improve performance even more.

Just got the Amd Ryzen 7 model - Open Box for 510$ - seemed like a good deal - till I read about all these battery issues - how serious is this problem?

Hmm, seems they're just selling off a model with issues. Looking at the reviews there are some with battery issues, BSOD, wifi card issues, and Dell support is of no help whatsoever.

It's a shame Linux does not run well on this. Windows 10 sucks. I would rather run Linux or Windows 7 on this.

Hmmm...does not support Pen. No digitizing screen. Otherwise, I would probably jump.

Ryzen laptops are a nightmare with Linux. Major problems. And Dell isn't really updating the BIOS as some of the others are (they are middle of the pack on the issue).

I'm using Ubuntu 19.04 on mine, but it took a lot of trial and error to get it to boot stable - and it still has trouble with going dormant with lid close that requires me to reboot it.

The Windows actually works pretty well on this 7375. For reference, I have another Dell 7000, a 15" with 4K screen and Intel CPU to compare it with.
