I'm between this and the Huawei matebook x pro as a travel laptop for photo editing. Thoughts?

If you have any interest in light gaming as well this would be your choice.

Portability: Matabook X Pro
Power and gaming with some added weight: Definitely MSI P65

I had the Matebook X Pro for a short period and the quality control was horrible. The trackpad was so wobbly that I couldn't stand it and returned.

MXP has heavily thermal constrained performance that can be easily fixed with a little software and hardware modification. Great machine.

I'm surprised the display isn't 144hz. I'm sure it's still very nice.

How was the display on the mxp? It looks really nice from what I've seen. Also, would the mx150 be sufficient with that 3k display to do light gaming? League and minecraft and such

if you don't care about the tb3 port for egpu, you can go for matebook 13. 3:2 2k display is perfect for photo editing. but personally I think ideapad 730s is better choices, it's 2.4lbs. Much lighter cheap and has TB3 port for gaming.

The 1070 version for the same price, just with a smaller drive (256 vs 512) seems like a great deal too. Nice looking laptops.

Are we seeing the same thing? It's $2k, not $1.2k

Haha I would have bought that so fast if it was the same price.
