BestBuy:

The documentary Pandas (4K Ultra HD + Blue Ray) is available for sale on Best Buy for $14.99.

From what I have seen on Amazon and other pages, it typically sells for $34.99-$39.99.

This seems to be a 50% discount (or $15 saving!)

The documentary seems to be liked and well received (though still not as many comments as other movies/documentaries)

Rotten tomatoes [rottentomatoes.com]: 100% approval
IMBD [imdb.com]: 7.5/10

I am curious about the opinions of people who have actually seen it in the IMAX movie theatres or at homes.

My 4yo daughter and I watched in a (real) IMAX theatre and we really enjoyed it. However, the highlight certainly was seeing adorable baby pandas on a giant IMAX screen - in our case a dome theatre. We enjoyed it but I personally have no desire to own it for home viewing.

So - Front page with only 2 comments.

Makes me wonder what does "slick" in slickdeals is. Slick for users or slick for slickdeals.net owners?
Hi npp Smilie Can I please trouble you to provide us with a screenshot of where you are seeing this thread on the Front Page currently please? It currently has 14 thumbs up with no thumbs down and is not (yet, but might later be) on the Front Page, so I want to make sure there isn't a glitch. It could also perhaps be due to custom user settings you may have set under your SD account:
  • Navigate to the Front Page here, then click 'Preferences'. It will open a menu like the image in my attachment below.
  • Look under 'Category Preferences' to see you have anything there moved over to 'Like' on the slider
  • If so, based on your preferences, this will cause Popular Deals for any categories you have set to 'Like' to be mixed in with actual Front Page deals on your own customized Front Page when you visit the site (this only affects your own account, only others with the same preferences set will see the same thing).
If this thread were on the FP at this time, there would be a post by a Deal Editor like this one in that reformatted layout beneath the OP's original post. All Front Page deals have a post like this by a Deal Editor beneath the OP's and this one currently does not. Are you accessing it from the mobile site, app, or desktop site (Redesign or Classic view)? Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the clarification RevOne. You are right. I have a custom setting that brings this deal to the Frontpage. I didn't really realize this is how the custom settings work. My apologies.

Is there any way when looking at one's Front page to distinguish between the deals that are actual "Front page" deals and the deals that as there due to a custom setting?

That makes sense. I actually wonder what the quality of the video on a home screen would be.

Thanks for the kind reply Smilie There's absolutely no need to apologize at all. It was an honest mistake and easy to see now that we know what occurred how that setting could have caused for a confusing situation.

The best way to distinguish which are actual FP posts and which are there based on the custom user settings we discussed can be spotted as follows:

- Desktop Site (Classic View) [imgur.com]: FP posts are colored blue, Popular Deals posts that are there based on custom user preferences are orange.

- For the others, non-FP deals that are on your Front Page based on custom user settings will be marked 'Personalized' (with orange).Hope this helps. Please feel free to let me know if you have any other questions at all and I'll be glad to assist Smilie
