I bought the Vizio PQ on Black Friday and LOVED the 4K on it but had to return it due to HDMI port issues when using external 4k devises. I'm not sure if they ever corrected that but when I returned it to Costco they were well aware of the issue and I was told that not all the HDMI ports could accept 4k HDR or DV. Anyway I replaced it with the LG OLED C8 and while the LG blows the Vizio away playing non 4K due to the better processing the Vizio performed much better playing 4K especially HDR 10 and DV titles. Colors and explosions really POP on the Vizio where the LG looks great but doesn't jump out at you. Also if you play games a lot or if your room is bright the OLED's have a hard time getting bright enough. Not a deal breaker but I had to turn the brightness down on the Vizio and the LG is always set at max and is still a bit too dim at times. I like the LG but I am waiting for the larger size 2019 PQ's to come out and drop in price.

Absolutely the Quantum at this price. Easily worth the extra money:

- 192 zones FALD (PQ) vs. 100 zones FALD (P)
- Extreme contrast 15000:1 (PQ) vs. very good contrast 6000:1 (P)...almost OLED like blacks on PQ by comparison
- 2400 nits peak brightness (PQ) vs. 800 nits peak brightness (P)
- Quantum dots almost full DCI-P3 color gamut coverage (PQ) vs. regular wide color gamut (P)

For only $350 more that's an absolute huge steal/value. You'll easily notice the difference, specificlaly in HDR content, and just movie watching in general

Only if watching outside, inside the house the P series is very bright with deep blacks, you can hardly tell the difference. Unless you have the TVs side by side you most likely won't be able to detect any diff in 4K. In plain HD picture is same. And $350 is $350.

This versus the LG oled deal for $1900?
Is the picture of an oled really THAT superior? Which is more future proof for 5+ years

This? Or a 75" version of the new 2019 version coming out soon? Anyone know the differences between this and the new 2019 ones?

If I purchase this with my Costco Citibank card, will my warranty effectively be 4 years?

Yes. Not sure if free 3yr square trade is offered but still worth it for years 4-7 for $99

WOW!

Is this the price/performance value king right now @ 65 inches? Costco Visa 4 year warranty puts it on top I think.

Anybody want my 58" Panny plasma so I have a reason to buy this? Wink

I think so. I would personally get the 75 tcl 617 when its on sale at this price (it was a week or so ago) because it has a 120hz panel unlike the smaller 617's
